Chadwick Boseman, the actor known for playing Black Panther and Jackie Robinson has passed away at 43 after a battle with cancer. Rip
Aw Man. I just reads that in the other thread and was about to google who he was. Sad indeed. I had no idea the battle was there. I thought he had a very bright future. I really liked him. RIP.
I kinda hope they don't replace him as Black Panther. I know that fucks up their storyline but honestly I don't think anyone else should play it
It's a great role for black actors. They recast Batman every few years. Nothing wrong with a new Black Panther. It will do more to honor him then to never cast the role again. He set a high mark that other actors will forever be compared to.
Yeah, I don't see a problem with recasting Black Panther. There's nothing unreasonable or unethical about it and they should be entitled to keep telling the stories they intended to.
Fucking sad. I was lucky enough to act in a movie with him a few years ago. He was amazing. And gave all of us random extra types a giant hug when we were done shooting. I'll never forget his talent and his amazingly kind heart. I am distraught.
I think recasting the Black Panther is one thing, but I hope they don't recast T'Chala. That would be like casting a new Tony Stark.
They will make Shuri or Killmonger as the new black panther. Maybe the second is far fetched. There were rumors of BP2 being the last for Boseman as T'Challah, I guess we know why now. So shocking.
Just watched him in Da Bloods on NETFLIX....... didn't recognize him at first. Looked pretty frail. Just assumed he lost tons of weight for the role.
