Caps fired their coach today. First shoe to drop for them. I expect Holtby to be gone as well.

They need a total rebuild. Time to move Ovie and many others.

Well you have been right about Tampa so far. They are taking it to Boston. Perhaps after that embarrassment last year this is finally their time.

Tampa has taken it to the Bs, think the lack of a crowd hurts teams like Boston but I like watching them lose. Speaking about Rangers centers that got away, how about JT Miller? Breakout scoring season and 59% on faceoffs. The Rangers had to make the trade because TB made such a generous offer but JT would be a good #2C option.

Out of all the players the Rangers have traded away the past few seasons, the only one I really miss and wish we had kept is Miller. He is the kind of player you want on your team in big spots and in the playoffs, even if his playoff stats have not always backed that up.

Miller was a moron here and in Tampa. I heard he said in an article that he needed a wake up call and getting traded to Vancouver was it. There is nothing to do out there compared to NY and Florida.

Gives Tampa more time to rest and heal up which is good. Isles fans were bitching about the refs. Spare me. Both the games Philly won should have never gone to OT if the dumbasses could hold a lead. Of course, AV has no clue how to get his players to play defense when it matters. I was amazed how bad the Flyers PP is. Their defenseman are not capable of running the PP.

Hart and Demko both stood on their heads last night. Demko 2 games in a row. Philly seems to be figuring the Islanders goaltending out now.

Dallas moves on, which helps our pick. Now will be 21-23 depending on the outcomes of the other two game 7's. If the Canucks and Isles win we pick 21, if only one wins we pick 22, if neither wins we pick 23.

As for Colorado, they are a good goalie away from being a SC winning team. I'd expect them to go all in to add a goalie this off-season.

Pick 22 it is. Not a bad spot to be in. Package that pick for a # 2 C or a very good LD to play with Trouba.

As for the playoffs, two good series coming up. I'll take the Lightning and Knights, but the Isles and Stars both have very legit chances to win.

To me if Kucherov is healthy, and the layoff doesn't hurt them, I think TB will beat the Isles, and continue the mission they are on, but that Isles team is deep and talented, so it will be a hard fought series.

Islanders are not that talented. They play a Torts like system. They were dead meat at the end of the season. Completely worn out. Covid saved their sorry asses and they made a run as I predicted. Entirely different animal they are facing now. Just as if they played Boston. They won't shut this PP down like they did the Flyers. I expect the Islanders to play dirty. That's about the only chance I give them.

Too bad Colorado couldn't hang on against Dallas. They are still a work in progress defensively.
