Nurkic might be a more effective passer if he could shoot the midrange shot better.

Yeah, but there is a big difference if the opposing team knew you were running your offense through him on a regular basis. He is good, just not that good, as with most centers. Jokic is clearly one of those exceptions.

And continue to get better at shooting the three. Is he there yet? Nope. But he has improved. I'm looking at what a complete season looks like for Nurkic at this point?
Gotta remember he has not been the picture of health.

And to think Duncun Robinson went undrafted and starts for them!

I think the last undrafted player for us was Wes right? I know WE didn’t “undraft” him though.

He was a triple double threat most nights when he first got to Portland. We won't know unless we try. All that I can say is we are a better team when we run the ball through Nurk. That's enough reason to experiment with it. He's the best passer on the team. Easily.

In fairness to NO, we’ve had players who should have went undrafted that have started for us.

This year I'm glad that it was Giannis. Last year Giannis deserved it too but the previous nine seasons all should have been LeBron. It wasn't even close. There was nobody more valuable in the league than LeBron those years. Actually the only one that was close in that stretch was KD the year he won it but LeBron was better than him that year too. Other than that, Rose was good but not close to as good as LeBron on either end, Steph ever winning it was a complete joke because the guy is a one way player, Harden is the same thing as Steph... I don't care that both guys went from being huge liabilities on defense to being not so bad, being a bad defender disqualifies you from being the MVP, then there is Westbrook who won only because of stats, the guy does not and has not played to win. LeBron until just recently was the best player in the league and it wasn't debatable and that made him the most valuable player in the league. The same thing happened with Jordan. Magic, Chuck and Malone outright stole MVP's from the best ever to do it, he was the best player in the league when Magic won his last two MVPs, when Chuck won his and Karl Malone on several occasions campaigned shamelessly to get the MVP when he and everyone else knew that Jordan was a far more valuable player. So LeBron should have 9 MVPs and Jordan should have 10 (13 if he hadn't played baseball but that was his choice).

LeBron is still the best player in the league. He just didn't win MVP this year.
