Based off Twitter: Brad Stevens can't coach and will be available this off-season. I'd gladly take him!

I think Stevens has run up against a matchup problem; and the Celts have no answer for Adebayo

I think you're probably right. Sometimes teams just don't have the right fire power to combat a particular opponent, regardless of scheme.

Yet Portland is supposed to beat Lebron? Maybe we're being too critical of Terry then?

I'm pretty sure any time Terry has gone against Stevens we have gotten schooled. I would love to have him.

I dont think Tibbetts gets hired as a head coach, I hope Im wrong put there are to many veteran head coaches that will be recycled. There are other AC's that seem to get more pub than he does too.

I don't think Stotts is a great coach at all, and it's arguable how good he actually is

I also think some of the criticisms directed at him are off-base; some, but not all. His biggest problem is his tool-box is limited and missing some essential tools that other coaches have. That's not his fault. Look higher in the flow chart for that blame

Be honest. When Stotts was hired, how many people here thought he would be in the job for more than 2-3 seasons? Did even ONE Blazer fan say "this is our long term solution who will lead us to a title"??

I will admit he exceeded my expectations, but that alone doesn't entitle him to lifetime tenure!

He was brought in to appease LMA and for some reason has been able to stick around.

The chemistry and culture of the team are fantastic. There is no reason to get rid of Stotts unless we are making a guaranteed improvement. He is a good coach.

Brad Stevens would be a guaranteed improvement. If we can get Stevens we should absolutely do it.

Brad Stevens has lost to Stotts 7 times.

I like Brad Stevens a lot.

Stevens doesn't show up come playoff time. Go look at his record. 500
He's finish 1 & 2 in conference several times and still gets knocked out.

What is your measurable criteria of a coach that would lead us to a championship?

Good question and an important one for sure...
    Make the playoffs
    Advance in the Playoffs
Creative effective measurable Offense & Defense.
    Develop a bench

A guy like Stevens is similar to Stotts, in that they are even keel, laid back, players coaches. Really nice guys...Which is fine if they can get there team up to take the next step.
Plus he did zero in braking the zone last night.
A championship caliber coach imo, shouldn't be afraid to bench even a star player.
Id like more pushing the ball and less walking it up allowing D to set. I want Dame to learn to play off the ball some to0.

To be Championship coach in this league you better be blessed with a Stars and depth, plus some luck.
Toronto's coach last year and excelled more so than many that have won championships. Yeah, maybe with GS not being so hurt last years finals may have been different. You could put Stotts or Stevens on those GS teams and they would have rings. More with less.

Malone has chance to do the same.
