Off the OP, TLC would be choice. As mentioned, he finally did what I thought he might be able to do when he was originally drafted.
Giles another player that's the king's just miss on. Giles actually is pretty nice player when he got to play. He can play either PF or center and he got good hands and he is good passer. Injuries been his big problem but could be had plus it probably wouldn't cost much due to he is UFA.
Before we go bargain hunting, we need to first figure out our expectations for next season. Are we just gonna be satisfied with making the playoffs and winning a round, or do we want to legitimately compete for the title?
More on Isaac Bonga - he seems to make a big impact in very limited minutes. If we were ready to give up on Anfernee, the Wizards would probably swap Bonga for him, and I think that might be a swap that benefits both teams. Sort of seems like a slightly-richer-man's Wenyen Gabriel. But I say you can't have too many Wenyen Gabriels!
We got Moe Harkless off the trash heap as well. But he was a guy we expected to take time to acclimate and develop into a potential contributor later on. Then you have guys like Rondo who LA got for the minimum who is helping them win a title this year. There are different kinds of bargain hunting.
there are always fairly decent players who sign for vet minimums every off-season. Olshey managed to avoid all of them when he signed Tolliver and Hezonja. Didn't do much better the year before with Stauskas. Melo may have been a one off so, the vet minimum bargain bin is one bin he's not been very good at rummaging thru
