A great example of why pointing to peoples finals rings (or appearances) as a sign of individual value is often overrated. Having said that, Meyers appears to be about as ideal of a teammate for an 11th man as you can get. Dude is fully into the game, doesn't piss and moan, and wants the team to win even if it means he's not playing.

You must really hate the Hornets GM. He took Malik Monk. And the Dallas GM took Dennis Smith Jr 9th.

He wants to stay with Denver. They will let Millsap go and resign him

Plus, living in Miami is a much bigger draw to young single athletes. I believe this plays a huge factor.

Neil clearly wanted a big. Hence him drafting Collins. How do you grade the bigs you want by watching Collins one time and a behind the back pass that came to never exist over Bam Abedeyo. He’s a franchise changer and you blew it for Dame. That’s why I feel bad for Dame playing for an organization like ours

Dudes mad that we drafted a big that can play next to Nurkic instead of a big that cant. Then you have Tunchi 10.0 tagging me as if I dont have him on ignore.:biglaugh:

Nurkic could easily be Bam-like next year. He's already close. Ban and him cant play together. If we drafted Bam and Miami drafted Collins, a lot of people might be pissed that we didn't draft Zach.

    Florida vs California NBA finals?

In a year because of the pandemic where TV ratings really matter?

    Sure, totally not rigged.

??? With Nurk's injury problems Bam would have had plenty of chances to prove himself. You pick which one you want and trade the other. There is more than one way to get value out of an asset. Do you honestly think Collins has anywhere close to the trade value of either Nurk or Bam? Your argument is why we ended up with Webster instead of Chris Paul!

I understand the emotion, but this horse has been beat to death. At this point, nobody is going to change their mind on the subject and it is just rubbing both sides raw.

Perhaps I am having a senior moment, but wasn't Smith part of the package that landed Porzingas for Dallas? Even if the original selection was a mistake, I'd say the Mavs fixed the mistake quite nicely!

If Olshey could pull off a deal like that with Collins, I would be the first to praise him for it and permanently shut up about drafting Collins!

I thought Olshey's philosophy was best player available. I don't think he went for the fit with Zach he just thought he is better than Bam, John Collins etc.
