    Oladipo for Trent and Simons?
    Paul George for CJ?

Who the fuck wrote this, Eric?

If somehow we did get Oladipo pried away from Indy for a package even close to what the article says, we wouldn't have a prayer getting PG13 for CJ, so maybe that's when we go after Middleton with CJ. I'll just make it a three team trade to make it easier to see.

Yeah, we would have to give up a lot of picks but we would have the best perimeter in the league with Nurk. Maybe as some in here have said Melo will come back for the minimum and we'd have our starting five. We could then split the MLE on my go to guys this off season Michael Carter Williams and Nerlens Noel. Noel can get out and guard the perimeter so he could play with Nurk at times. Hopefully Hoodie would come back somewhat effective and we'd get growth out of Little, a re-signed Wenyen and maybe even Ant.

Rotation: Dame, Oladipo, Middleton, Melo, Nurk, MCW, Hoodie, Noel those guys would get the heavy minutes and Little, Wenyen, Ant and #16 would get spot minutes with a couple of min guys to fill out the roster. I actually think that roster makes a run in the West. Who is going to guard that perimeter and stop Nurk from dominating the paint and that's on offense. On D we would actually be really good our wings are two of the better wing defenders in the game, Nurk holds down the paint, while Dame and Melo are average defenders.

He is fine when healthy. He is a better career 3pt shooter than Melo.

Wow - I knew Oladipo didn't play much this year, but I didn't know how bleh he'd been in those 19 games:

I'm more worried about his 2 point %

Oladipo's a great person (from what I can tell) and a great defender, but his offense has struggled except for essentially one season, and he should probably prove that he's healthy before anyone invests big in him. As I said elsewhere, he's probably the closest thing to Jimmy Butler out there, so maybe he's hoping to ride that wave.

    Melo is an average defender??

This loses the Blazers height (Collins and Ariza) at positions they need height, and doesn't increase the size of the backcourt *at all*.

And throw on top of that 6 draft picks?

    Pass. Times 30.

his career EFG% is south of 50%. that is not good. outside of his 1 great season it is far worse, it has tracked below 48% for most of his career.

First I was thinking that Oladipo is not really that much better than Trent; then I saw that his career total rebounding % is about twice Trent's and his assist % is three times Trent and his steal % is a full point higher. His DPBM is plus 1.1 while Trent's is minus 1.1

If he wasn't so injury prone. Portland should be the last place he ends up.

Victor is also in a different situation than GT is. VO has had 5-6 seasons to figure shit out, Trent basically had 1 season where he got minutes.

NOT saying Trent is equal or better than VO.

Pass. I wouldn't want to be the team that has to decide between offering VO a Max next summer or letting him walk for nothing.

His career 2% is similar to Dame and CJ. I don't think shooting is a problem with Dipo. Or lets say it's nothing to worry about since his D is so good. The injuries are his issue and the fact he might not be the same ever again. That tendon thing was terrible.

This is not at all the answer.

Another undersized guard, and this one has a really bad injury history. Hard pass.

I don't know. I like Oladipo, but he is so injury prone. We would have to give up to much probably. Maybe in a package with Domantas.
