I watched every minute of the debate. I define Trump as an insecure bully who had to suck the air out of the room so it would inflate his abnormal ego. He couldn't follow a simple and courteous course outlined by the moderator and his organization.. It was so frustrating for Joe Biden to listen to this fanatic and his barbs were justified. If there is another debate, Trumps' microphone should be cut when Biden speaks. Perhaps duct tape can be applied over his spewing mouth as an alternative. In general terms, I'm voting for Joe Biden because he actually appealed to the American people, has a dignified approach to the office, speaks to the middle class and has the capability to restore our Country and it's status among other nations.

He did show up and Trump is the weasel due to his natural tendency to throw mud at Biden, as in the example of his mockery Biden's sons. Once he insulted Bidens' family, then it was clear to me the position of POTUS has been tarnished.

    Lucia has better manners.

Seriously. When a candidate is behind they need to win over undecided and wavering. White women narrowly supported Trump in 2016 but voted Democratic in 2018, largely driven by health care and women's rights. Both are in even bigger issues now. Women all over America wanted to tell Trump to go to his room until he learns to behave.

Seniors heavily supported Trump in 2016 but are moving to Biden. Older voters remember watching previous debates where remarks were sharp but candidates respected one another, the moderator, the viewers, the election. Trump could not conceal his contempt.

This year's Republican platform is literally whatever Trump wants, but traditional Republicans still want to vote for capitalism, strong military, low taxes but dislike Trump's behavior. How many did he win?

But his cult of Nazis and Kool aid drinkers will say yay, he owned the libs!

    BTW Helen Reddy was invincible.

I find it extremely interesting that some people have yet to weigh in on their boy’s performance. Maybe he really IS smart enough to know that there is no effing way to defend the guy after last night....unless you’re a Proud Boy. Not that that will change his “one issue” vote.........

It looks to me like a tie-down point for whatever it is he does with his “hair”. I’m guessing the person who does it for $79K a year isn’t getting a tip since it showed on TV.

Agreed, it looks photoshopped, or a product of digitization (if that's such a thing) of the picture.

Now if there's VIDEO of it, that's one thing.

Funny how he's acting like that is a solid talking point. I'd rather a president not say "law and order" than refusing to denounce racism and white supremacy.

considering it's trump, and everybody with a pulse knows the quality of that man, why is it just the D's responsibility to muster up anyone better than "at least he's not trump...". If the R's had any integrity and were actually putting country before party & justice before power, they wouldn't be backing trump, and wouldn't have nominated the asshole to begin with

it shouldn't just the D's who have the responsibility for 'saving' the nation from racism, injustice, and hate. That the R's are somehow evading that accountability in the minds of so many people, maybe some such as yourself, is a big part of the problem

The base supports Trump. He has huge support and rallies.

No one is excited or wants Biden there. They just want NOT TRUMP. I mean look at Biden, he's fucking senile. At least in 2016, the dem candidate got people excited for nominating the first woman president. What's Biden's hook? Yeah, "he's not Trump". That's it.

Proud Boys celebrate Trump’s ‘stand by’ remark about them at the debate.

Members of the Proud Boys, a far-right group that has endorsed violence, celebrated on Tuesday night after President Trump mentioned them during the first presidential debate.

Asked whether he condemned white supremacists and military groups, Mr. Trump demurred and then said, “Proud Boys — stand back and stand by.”

Within minutes, members of the group were posting in private social media channels, calling the president’s comments “historic.” In one channel dedicated to the Proud Boys on Telegram, a private messaging app, group members called the president’s comment a tacit endorsement of their violent tactics.

In another message, a member commented that the group was already seeing a spike in “new recruits.”

Mr. Trump’s rival, Joseph R. Biden Jr., noted that the group was celebrating Mr. Trump’s remark, pointing in a retweet to some of the comments being made. When asked what Mr. Trump meant by “stand by,” Jason Miller, a senior adviser to the president’s campaign, said it was “very clear he wants them to knock it off.”

The Proud Boys describe themselves as “a pro-Western fraternal organization for men.” The group has openly endorsed violence, and has recently been tied to several violent incidents at recent protests.

The proud boys believe Trump gave them consent here to go out and commit violence against protesters. As bad as things are, its about to get worse.
