Despite being a Chicago Bulls fan, I must say that I have a lot of love for the Trail Blazers. You guys have had some fun teams. From Drexler to Rasheed (on my all-time favorite player roster) to now Dame Lillard, the Blazers have always been a fun team to watch. With all that being said, I would like to express a commonality we share: Sam Bowie. Never before have I ever truly understood or appreciated the feelings of a fan base for drafting the wrong guy, then when I saw Nick Foles replace Mitch Trubisky last Sunday and lead a comeback win. Then you have the next night, where Patrick Mahomes carved up the Baltimore Ravens. So from one Bulls fan to a group of Blazers fans, in the end, Chicago sports fans got their own Sam Bowie in Mitch Trubisky.
Thanks for the post and welcome to the forum. Now consider that we are fans of a team that not only took Sam Bowie over Michael Jordan, but also one that traded down to draft Martell Webster instead of taking Chris Paul, and which drafted Greg Oden instead of Kevin Durant. We drink a lot.
Welcome....I was raised in Iowa and my mom was a lifelong Cubs fan....she got to see them finally win the big one before she passed away.....I've been a Blazer fan since Walton landed there...I played the same pickup courts he did in San Diego when I was at the Naval Training Academy.....his high school teammate was a friend of mine. Blazers have always been my team...we've had some great guys to cheer for through the years! As a Blazer fan I've always enjoyed the Bucks in the east from afar....and now they have 3 ex Blazers on the roster..
I don’t normally look at things like this, but had Dion Waiters not gone shockingly early, we wouldn’t even have GOT Dame. Draft is a crap shoot like a motherfucker ain’t it!
First of all, WELCOME to our S2 Familia. I'm kinda' THE guy around here. The guys regularly call me THE MAYOR of S2......that said...... I do have a couple ground rules about how we do things around here. So I'll reach out soon with some of my ideas on how you can not only survive here, but THRIVE!
It's the Spanish Major, not MAYOR, and I didn't know that the secondary meaning behind this was Village Idiot. Thanks for teaching us some Spanish....
Welcome. You’ll get to know me fast. I’m the area boogey man. Been to Chicago a few times. Great city!
