Trade for Westbrook (without giving up any or our big three)

  1. Sure, why not?

    12.5%
  2. Doesn't matter - Houston would never do it

    6.3%
  3. GOD no!

I would say the Hollinger prediction of plus 13 wins would be right if the team had won 69 games the previous year.

If Hood returns as he was
    Ariza?
Whats the plan with whiteside? from what i saw of zach, i was beyond unimpressed.
    Melo?

could we get away with moving CJ for a better SF or PF and starting GTJ

It's a crazy idea and I think that's why I like it. I think I'm like that guy yesterday who said he is just getting bored with the Blazers. I think Houston would want to get more in exchange for him though.

Ahhh maybe every player he has ever played with? Dude is a great player no question but you cannot say you have not seen pretty much every major player that guy has played with shake their heads at the way he manages a game.
You yourself pointed out Durant. Obviously George was happy to leave. Doesn't sound like Melo really got working well with him? It didn't work with Harden no matter how you want to try to spin it.
This would never work from the way i see it. Nope. Absolutely not a team player.

"Playoff P" is always happy to leave.

    I haven't heard that.

Like i said no matter how you try to spin it.
Paul George stays if it was working.
Durant... Well you already know that one.
Melo is playing here or at least was.
    He ain't a team player.
One more time- From the way i see it this would absolutely never work.

One of the few instances I am against acquiring a star or superstar. Almost any other time I would be for it. This is perhaps the only one I would not endorse.

I would have been for Chris Paul more. A lot more.

2 guys who won't be with us for more than 1 year + a guy coming off an achilles tear in exchange for a 31 year old 3 years removed from an MVP season. You make that move regardless of fit or personality. At the very least, you should be able to flip in come February for a lot more than you gave up.

I think trading Capela away and playing PJ Tucker was done for Westbrook because he could thrive with so much space to drive. Harden could perform very well with Capela as well.

Well for sure those 3 players wouldn't be enough to get Westbrook. You need some picks or young talent as well. We don't have young talent so picks

I guess it "wasn't working" in Indiana, and it "isn't working" with the Clippers. Hm.

So, by your logic, if he leaves, it must be Dame's fault.
Just repeating yourself is not an argument.

This is the downside. The team we'd likely be competing with is the Knicks, and they can probably put a much better bundle together.
