As the post mentioned, the joke is that the Nuggets didn't include Melo on their graphic, so the Blazers were subtly calling them out on that.
gotcha of course, Melo forced his way out of Denver, and how a player leaves a team needs to be part of the equation....probably?

https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/hypothetical-trades/id293376147?i=1000495252952 Hypothetical Trades Brian Windhorst & The Hoop Collective brian windhorst, kevin pelton, and tim bontemps talk about possible trades for olidipo, chris paul, jrue holiday, and bradley beal. spoiler alert, no blazer scenarios and the suggested trades would be more attractive to the teams selling than what we have to offer.
I think the Hornets will just have to live with that contract but it's not a donation, just a bad personnel decision... yikes.
just listened to a podcast that included it in a multi team deal for chris paul. not bad in value overall trade.
What were the basics of the trade? I don't mean to commit heresy as a lifelong fan of our Portland Trail Blazers but I really admire and root for MJ as an executive and owner in this league. I'd love for him to get a player like CP3 and enjoy a little success... obviously not if it ever came at our expense.
it was CP3 to the clips, batum and the clips macgruder to OKC, lou williams, harrell S&T, beverly charlotte. easily expandable with charlotte flipping williams for other assets.
That's a good idea. I always thought there should be some credit on passes leading to FTs as well. half an assist per FT made or something. I know there are more in depth points added stats, but for the casual fan...
My guess is that D'antoni to the Pacers was just a rumor from his agent to drum up demand. Do not think he was ever a real candidate. KP has done well (not great) with the Pacers and I like this hire.
