Sixers should follow up that trade with this one. I like it because it features Kevin Love getting traded for Andrew Wiggins. Again.
Nah just get Danilo to come on the mle, sign Jeremy Lin on the BAE, use the trade exception to snag bjelica, resign Melo, guarantee Ariza, let Whiteside walk Lillard/Lin/Simons CJ/Trent JR/Hood Ariza/Galinari/Hood/Little Galinari/Melo/Bjelica/Gabriel Nurkic/Collins 16th pick
Because of Ariza's larger salary for potential matching deals, I'd look to do Hood instead of him. Then turn around and move Ariza, maybe with 16 and 21? Or one. Ariza and 21 for Taurean Prince and 19?
CJ is the Blazers 2nd leading scorer, and 2nd Usg%. (sg) 29 yo Here are some "2nd best" players on other teams: MIL: Khris Middleton (sf) 29 yo TOR: Serge Ibaka (pf) 31 yo BOS: Kemba Walker (pg) 30 yo PHI: Tobias Harris (pf) 28 yo BRK: Caris LeVert (sf) 26 yo ORL: Evan Fournier (sf) 27 yo CHA: Terry Rozier (pg) 26 yo WAS: Davis Bertans (pf) 27 yo NYK: Marcus Morris (pf) 31 yo DET: Blake Griffin (pf) 31 yo ATL: Jabari Parker (pf) 24 yo CLE: Kevin Love (pf) 32 yo LAL : Kyle Kuzma (pf) 25 yo LAC: Montrezl Harrell (pf) 26 yo HOU: Russell Westbrook (pg) 31 yo OKC: Danilo Gallinari (sf) 32 yo UTA: Bojan Bogdanovic (sf) 31 yo DAL: Kristaps Porzingis (pf) 25 yo PHX: Kelly Oubre (sf) 24 yo SAS: LaMarcus Aldridge (pf) 34 yo SAC: Buddy Hield (sg) 27 yo NOP: Jrue Holiday (pg) 30 yo GSW: Andrew Wiggins (sf) 25 yo Anyone want LaMarcus back in exchange for CJ?
It's a lateral move that doesmt make us better on either side of the court. We lose a big defensive wing who shot 40% from 3pt for us for a smaller defensive wing with a more questionable shot. We end up left with only 1 player that can consistently create their own shot off the dribble. I'd rather have a poor defensive SG than a poor defensive PF. Theres not point to shuffle the deck, downgrading chemistry and familiarity, just for a lateral move. In this trade we give up the best player in this trade and downgrade our overall talent level. No thanks.
Compare to all of the contracts of 2016 that’s a great contract. He get paid roughly 11 mil to be a 3D role player essentially. And he does his job for the most part. To me that’s great. But I rather have Ariza simply because he’s more of a natural SF than Richardson is
I personally like prince. You seem to forget that Ariza played awful for the last few years until he arrived in Portland. And he’s only getting older, gonna be 36 next year whereas Prince will turn 27 next year. Prince had some good seasons before this last one. I would take a chance on Prince bouncing back on a team that has one of the best backcourt in the league while he’s himself is entering his prime.
