Hell fuckin no. Why the fuck would we do that? That dude can erase a ten point lead for the Blazers in forty seconds. Dear God help us if he actually makes a mid range jumper. He will take the next ten shots. Most over payed, over hyped player of all time.

You can’t really find 3 and D guys for the veteran minimum...

Turner would just be here to be an end of the bench guy who would play spot minutes when our forwards are in foul trouble or if our backup pg or Simons isn’t playing well.

Even playing Turner 15mpg as a second ball handler on the bench unit will help if you want to keep CJ at sg the entire game since Turner can also run a bench unit. It’d be an easy transition to tick up Simons’ minutes and tick down Turner’s too if Simons can really develop his game this season. That’s as much as you can ask for from a veteran minimum contract.

If you bring him in, Stotts will play him. I'd much rather have Aminu or Harkless back. Heck, I'd rather have Vonleh back.

When I saw him facilitate plays, he often screwed up.

Turner was butt shitty when he tried to create or get crafty. He did good on broken plays and he at least tried hard most the time on defense. But he was one of my least favorite signings we’ve had, but was sold to us fans as some kind of treasure type find.

There’s a reason he’s like a hot potato throughout the league.

I’d say no even to vet min.

If it's a choice between offering the vet min to ET or Melo I'll go with ET!

I'd take ET back in a second on a Vet Min. Anyone who says no is not thinking clearly.

I voted yes under the assumption that a vet minimum guy shouldn't be in your rotation, but have the ability to fill in if there were an injury, be good in the locker-room, and/or be able to provide a one-off skill set. I was not a big Turner fan, due to what we were paying him. I'm not looking to fill this roster with young guys, I'd prefer a vet heavy roster with guys who have played in some big games. Having said that, I won't lose a second of sleep if we didn't sign him.

I would take him back on vet minimum. He would be a guy who would see minutes only to hold the fort during injuries. You could do much worse for that kind of position. I can also admit that I just kind of like the dude. But yeah, as a heavy rotation player on a bigly salary, that was a no bueno.

On the cheap I'd rather have ET getting Mario's minutes all day....he's an underrated defender. Gives you some length off the bench

    Hello darkness, my old friend
If I believed Stotts would use him as a very low-minutes reserve, then I'd be perfectly fine with Turner on a veteran's minimum. As others have said, he's a great culture guy and while he's wildly overrated as a defender, he's still someone who gives a lot of effort on that end of the floor and can at least give you some minutes off the bench to hound a starter on the other team even if he's not going to lock that guy down.

But Stotts, I'm fairly sure, would view him as an important rotation guy, because that's how he used him previously. He should play 10 minutes a game or so, but he'd likely get at least 20-25 minutes. So, I'd rather he simply not be on the roster.
