<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>[IMG]Tommorow is the 14-year anniversary of Reggie Lewis' untimely death. He died of a heart attack at a practice in 1993 in Waltham. This was crushing to the Celtics because not only did they lose an all-star player, they lost an all-star human being. The Boston Celtics retired Lewis' #35 immedietly after he died, as did his alma-mater Northeastern University. Lewis was only 27 when he passed away and hadn't even reached his prime yet, but basketball fans knew he was going to be something special when he was voted into the 1992 NBA all-star game. In his final year, he averaged 20.8 points per game, 1.48 steals per game and shot 48% from the field. No doubt that this was the worst loss in Celtics history, even worse then losing Len Bias. Not because Bias dying wasn't sad but Lewis was a player Celtics fans grew to love. They loved him and hoped for him to lead them back to greatness. Could they have been good enough to beat the Bulls of the 90's if Lewis didn't die? Could they have won 17, 18, 19? We'll never know.I couldn't find any youtube videos dedicated to Lewis but you don't need a video on Youtube to show how great of a person you were. Reggie Lewis will forever be remembered. I dedicate tommorow to Reggie Lewis and hope some of you do the same. Go out and do the right thing tommorow for Reggie.Rest in Peace Reggie Lewis.</div>Entry from my blog

Nicely put. Playa. He was turning into a great player.I consider him easily one of the top 5 SF's in league at the time.such a joy to watch him pop those mid-range jumpers with ease.I was really devestated by his death.I was just infuriated at those ridiculous insinuations that Reggie did Cocaine.just stupid, stupid lies.

I didn't really get to watch him much at all, I mean I was alive but I was a young kid when he died. I'm just disappointed that he died so soon. I mean it was only what his 6th year? He was just getting started.

I am honored to have played a tournament in the Reggie Lewis Center this summer with my AAU basketball team.

It's a great place to play hoops. One of many daggers in the Celtics back over the past few decades. Reggie was reguarded as one of the few people that could actually somewhat contain Michael Jordan. Jordan himself attested to that satement. I remember watching Reggie as a little kid and unfortunately remember his downfall and death all to well. RIP Reggie, you were definately a Celtic great.

The only thing I don't like about the Reggie Lewis Center is that the floor is a track for track and field. It's not wood.
