I am a “high risk” individual. After all the lies and bullshit from Trump and the Republicans these past 4 years, do you REALLY think intellectually functioning individuals are gonna just leap to be the first in line for these fast tracked vaccines???? Sorry, I’m not going to take your word or that of any government official that these vaccines are “effective” until they have a track record. And in a society that already has a strong anti vaccine culture??? Good on you for being so easily sold. And you can bet that if the vaccines aren’t as effective as promised/serious side effects occur then the blame is all gonna go on Sleepy Joe”........

Well, that's what POTUS's do...they delegate their authority by appointing/surrounding themselves with people with talent and let them do their job...something Trump was either unable and/or unwilling to do.

Trump administration cuts off emergency Federal Reserve programs as coronavirus cases spike

US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin is pulling the plug on funding for emergency Federal Reserve programs intended to help businesses as the coronavirus pandemic continues to rage in the United States.

In a letter sent Thursday to Fed Chairman Jerome Powell, Mnuchin asked the central bank to return some $455 billion in unused funding for programs set to expire December 31. He added that Congress would then be able to re-appropriate the money for other purposes.
    ---
The move was immediately met with backlash from Corporate America: The US Chamber of Commerce blasted the decision as one that closes the door on important liquidity options for businesses at a time when they need them most," adding that it "unnecessarily ties the hands of the incoming administration."
    ...
"This appears to be a political move by Team Trump to limit what President-Elect Joe Bide can do next year to boost the economy, especially if Congress fails to pass a big stimulus," he wrote in a research note Thursday. He added, though, that there may be a way for the programs to continue.

A correction, the unqualified judge appointed is a she. My bad. As Trump appointees run 85 percent white male I made an incorrect assumption.

I trust the scientists on vaccine but I sure as fuck don't trust Trump administration to distribute it. I honestly believe they are not only incompetent and corrupt, enjoy cruelty, but also deliberately are trying to make the country as dysfunctional as possible so when Biden can't fix it in two weeks they can rant about incompetent Democrats.

A toddler breaks a toy rather than let another child play with it. Parents are supposed to teach them not to, but Trump never learned and doesn't care.

Fresno bishop urges Catholics not to 'jump on the COVID-19 vaccine bandwagon'

LOS ANGELES — Citing ethical concerns about the use of stem cells in vaccine development, Bishop Joseph Brennan of the Diocese of Fresno is urging Catholics not to "jump on the COVID-19 vaccine bandwagon."

In a video shared by the diocese this week, Brennan said the race to produce a coronavirus vaccine has spurred researchers to make use of morally objectionable materials.

"I try to maintain a joyful spirit, so I don't like to rain on anyone's parade," Brennan said. "But I'm going to rain on a parade today: the vaccine parade."

In his message, Brennan said the use of embryonic stem cells at any stage of a vaccine's development means Catholics cannot avail themselves of its scientific results.

"I won't be able to take a vaccine, brothers and sisters, and I encourage you not to, if it was developed with material from stem cells that were derived from a baby that was aborted, or material that was cast off from artificial insemination of a human embryo," he said. "That's morally unacceptable for us."

Brennan said he is not opposed to vaccines in general, and noted that he has received vaccines for the flu and pneumonia, but said he is specifically opposed to vaccines derived from babies "whose lives were taken."

He cited the Pfizer vaccine by name, which — along with another vaccine from Moderna — has been roundly celebrated as a breakthrough in the fight against the coronavirus.

Pfizer spokeswoman Jerica Pitts said Thursday the company has not used stem cells in its COVID-19 vaccine program.

"Not a single stage has had it," she said.

Geraldo thinks it would be a good way to “honor” Trump. Shit, he sat on his hands while a quarter million people died. Holy shit, the next thing you know the right will suggest honoring Hitler by naming a soap after him. How do fucking idiots like Geraldo Rivera even remember to breath??? Though it would be far better for the world if guys like him forgot how to......

Is the CDSC creditable? They dont advocate schools being closed during pandemic or are they as political as WHO.
