This actually makes a good expiring(team option) contract to match salaries. That's smart from Riley.
No matter what you think of Meyers as a player or a person, my god. Congrats to the dude for securing the bag. Obviously he's not going to get his option picked up for the second season but good god. I thought he was going to get vet min at the best.
Good for ML - always liked that kid. Glad he finds success. That's more than what he is worth as a player - but why would I care. Not my money, nor my favorite team's cap-space
I'm happy for Meyers. Met him once and he could not have been a nicer person. He and his wife (and dog) seem like very content, decent people who are just looking to enjoy life. He wasn't what we were hoping for from a lotto pick, but in today's world that's secondary. He's clearly worked hard to remain relevant in one of the most competitive job markets in the entire world and good things have happened for him. Good things need to happen for people who put good out into the world (especially when it doesn't affect our salary cap situation!)
