I'm picking 808hornetsfan, I just like his team better than mine. I think he's better with all of his low post players than I am, so I am going with him as the winner.

Well guess what, I'm going with valo35 because he obviously has much more depth at each position than 808 does. KJ is the perfect backup to Walt, not to mention that the numerous big men on his team are wonderful players who would out-score and out-hustle the opposing team.

Why is Shareef Abdul-Rahim doing at center, let alone in the entire all era mock draft?Russell is a great player, but Valo's low post players wouldn't even need to score as much, due to the combo of Baylor and West. I'm picking Valo.

Valo, hes a bit undersized, but the only matchup he would have a problem with is Russell down low due to his superior defensive abilities. But otherwise Valo's assembled a powerhouse.

Lemme start off by saying that Valo has an extremely strong starting lineup; with a frontcourt full of players oft-forgotten. Bellamy was very dominant offensively early in his day and could really find different ways to score down low. But, just like in his times, he would probably be overshadowed by Bill Russell, somebody I think could shut him down. Now Elvin Hayes could probably use that turnaround jumper on Willis Reed, but Willis ain't exactly a pushover. He can strike back; he could score in the post and had a mid-range jumper of his own. Very tough matchup. 808's frontcourt bench is weaker than valo's, mostly because of Wes Unseld.Let's go to the backcourt...James Worthy...very instrumental part of the Showtime Lakers and a strong energizer and accurate scorer. However, Elgin Baylor was a more amazing talent and could score at will in his day, not only with accuracy but he also invented certain elements of flair you see today. On the benches, Mashburn would probably be able to take Ellis down low in the post, and Ellis could catch passes and pop the three on him. Now, with the guards, I really think that Valo has the advantage here. Walt Frazier is a great point guard and would probably be able to break down Steve Nash and even pop the ball loose with ease. On top of that, Jerry West is in the top 5 of the NBA's greatest shooters ever, and could probably light up Rick Barry, who is a great scorer and competitor. I guess this goes down to the bench, where Byron Scott and John Williamson give the team a very good scoring punch, and so does Dwyane Wade and Kevin Johnson. I guess I'll have to go with valo35; the backcourt edges 808's by a good bit but the frontcourt loses the matchup against Russell in the starting lineup. Despite that, when the backups come in, its all about valo's frontcourt.

OMG, everyone here is wrong except for valo, my team rules!!!!!!!Just kidding. [IMG] The one mistake I did was I started to look for average type big men that could give me some points rather than defend, well eventually I had too many of those guys and didn't have enough draft picks to use on backcourt scorers so I pretty much screwed myself over. I agree, valo35 has a way better frontcourt and his backcourt could match my own point-for-point, valo's team > my team

Yeah it was tough, but valo did have a few high draft picks and was able to use them well

First off, I just like looking at both starting 5. Lots of old school players save for Nash and some underated Gems in there too.Second, I hate Valo for taking Hayes about 4 picks before I could. He has a great starting front line.Bill Russell and Willis Reed help keep it interesting in the front court though.Love the Rick Barry pick.. until I see Jerry West on the other side.Nash will make Russell look like Wilt with is deft passes and Bill's speed at center.Walt will have a field day with such an abundance of frontcourt scoring. He'll hit the open J or hand over to West to keep the defences from collapsing too.great staring 5 match ups all over the place.Only Worthy is in big trouble trying to handle Baylor...Webber and J O'Neal off the bench is a huge spark. Wes Unseld will hate chasing these guys out to 15 feet.Elton Brand and Brad Daugherty.. yow, Brad can really pass in the paint and Brand will finish those passes.KJ can really run a team and with healthy hamstrings is going to blow past any PG in the entire mock draft. Only AI could stay with him. and DWade most likely gets hurt driving to the hole and running into Bill Russell and his 60's era style of D.. after he drops 20 or so pointsByron Scott and Ellis have to create on their own as there is less double teaming going on.that's a problem. Mashburn is healthy and shows glimpses of what he coulda been, mostly because Dale Ellis is guarding him. A healthy LJ, is a sight to be seen with is surreal strength and ablitiy to create space, too bad Elton Brand and Unseld are just as freakishly strong.Howard and Shareef are just overmatched in this all time match up and enjoy the show on the bench.Wow this would be a fun match up.I think Valvo takes this, but not easily. Bill Russell would intimidate that front lone as they've all had to play against him before and know what that means.Jerry West and Baylor work their magic though and pull it out.

Im going with Valo, his bigs are so much better than Hornets. Bill Russells is about the only advantage Hornets has, but the sheer number of solid bigmen would overtake Russells defensive abilities. Hornets forwards are guys who in 20 years wont be remembered for much, I'm not saying they are bad I'm just saying Larry Johnson is not on the same level as Elvin hayes. Hornets also doesn't have any firepower on his guard line, in comparison to Valo who has Frazier, west and Wade. Steve Nash also isn't a very good defender by todays standards, so he'd get eaten alive by KJ or Frazier.
