I've said this before but if we can get Harden for something like that I would do it in a heartbeat but during that same heartbeat I would flip Harden for something that actually fits here. Harden is still not a plus defender and him and Dame would still keep each other from being their best offensively, due to redundancy. I realize PG13 or Oladipo are major gambles because they're on expiring contracts and Oladipo's injury history but I'd rather take that gamble because I actually think both of those guys give us a better chance of winning more because they can both create and are so so so much better defensively.

Edit: All of that being said if your trade was the only thing Neil sees or has available that would obviously make us much better because Harden is a better defender than CJ and is obviously better at doing everything CJ does on offense and more.

Wall and Boogie finally on the same team.

They dont have to rush to trade Harden. Plenty of time to evaluate and wait for the best offer. James doesnt seem like the kinda guy to mail in a season

Its been a while since we saw him healthy but I used to love watching Wall play. Like him a lot more than Russ if they're both healthy tbh

Wait, if that question isn't rhetorical then the answer is both the most well rounded game of any smaller player and the worst attitude in the league.

I'm not the biggest fan of Harden's game either but he's an MVP-caliber scorer and a better defender than CJ. An upgrade on almost every level. Plus Dame can keep his ego in check and would you REALLY turn down a team with Dame, Harden, Nurk, and the supporting pieces? I wouldn't.

Isn't half bad on paper. But health is a major question mark. And either Wall/Hardens effectiveness off the ball

I dont think houston is in teardown mode. And if they were they'd want young guys on cheap deals. Not CJ. Your idea makes no sense for wither team

Holy fucking shit, no way! Nurk, Gary and Nas along with CJ... why in the world would we do that when Harden still has the same redundancies that cause Dame and CJ to be problematic offensively and he is still not a plus defender? I am not fucking kidding that I wouldn't trade the potential and current knowns of Nurk, Gary and Nas for Harden's knowns if it were possible disregarding salaries, straight up. No way on earth do I do that deal.

Shows how big a difference their is in the value of Lillard and Westbrook.

If we got a broken PG with undoubtedly the worst contract and a lottery protected first in return for Damian, my guess is half of the season ticket holders would give up their tickets.

I'm not sure whether I would or not. However, it's a reasonable trade for one of the all time greats without giving up draft picks.
Nas won't play, Gary will only play some, and some think he'll get PAID.

    "Potential", hmmm.

I mean, you can argue fit all you want, but Harden by himself is a 60% win rate team.
