To be environmentally friendly, I considered using the same thread for both games.

But then on second thought, you guys deserve the best, so I made a different game thread.

I thought we called the exterminator. Why is there still a Laker fan around here?

Y'know what Houston. Forget about the Harden trade. I think we're gonna hold onto CJ.

Until CJ has a bad game.

Winning the second of the mini series is crucial.

I want to see Nurk really wake up this game and dominate any rookie or little guy that the Warriors throw at him. Then once they realize they're in trouble, Nurk will pass out of a collapsing defense to open shooters and slashers. I think we'll get another win against this Warriors team that I think is going to compete for the 7-10 seed while we compete for 2-6.

He could have done that a couple times last game. They were collapsing on him in the paint. He had chances to find open shooters but forced a few shots.

Tough to do. I expect a hard fought game. I hope the Blazers are not simply happy with a split on this trip but if you said 2-2 before the trip to me i would have took it no problem.

Yeah, he's not there mentally yet but that's understandable and I think he'll get there really soon, maybe even by tomorrow. I think these guys with distractions (we know about him with his grandmother and Dame with his twins on the way but I'm sure there are guys we don't know about) these guys are just taking a bit of time getting settled into concentrating in an intense way on the game but it's what they know, so they'll all get there. This is on our team and around the league.

Beating that shell-of-it's-former-self Warriors team is what should happen.
Sweeping them in a back-to-back is more the sign of a team showing growth.

    GO BLAZERS!!

I think these back to back against the same opponent will be the story of coach adjustments. Like mini play offs

Noticed a lot of teams are splitting these back to backs.

Yeah. Pretty tough to go into another teams gym and play tough enough to take two games.

Just saw Hood is Out for the Game tomorrow. Left Quad Strain according to Holdahl. The good thing he doesn't mention GTJ in his injury post. Hopefully we get GTJ back for the game.

It's important to come to this game hungry. The last game, we were after a bad loss and tons of question mark about our defense, and we played hard. I hope we don't approach this next game content with where we are and then drop the game. Stay hungry, I want to keep seeing improvement in defense, to continue seeing Dame asking for Steph on defense, and play together on both ends, move the ball offensively.
I think chemistry slowly develops and we're looking better but we can't drop this next game or look passed it, need this win!

Agreed. The Warriors played well on the road after losing their first two games. (Then winning their next two road games)
I am hoping though that the lack of fans in the building will keep their energy level down. Oubre is the wild card. He is bound to shoot better eventually. Hopefully not tonight.

I honestly believe the lack of crowds is what is sucking energy out of games for a lot of players....Nurk obviously needs the audience to get pumped up and he's been open about how weird it is to play without the fans....I agree....quiet guys like Kawhi don't seem bothered but Nurk is hardly that personality type...hopefully they let go of the crowd "6 man" thing and buckle down in the echo chamber to rack up some wins
