let's just hope he doesn't forget that stuff and become only a 3pt shooter like all our wings apparently do. i remember a couple games last year against Utah and NO where he was cutting and crashing the boards. Similar to how DJ was in Miami before he became a spot up shooter on this team. Also, Little had a terrific defensive reputation in college. Hope he doesn't forget those instincts either. I keep getting reminded of how great of a shot blocker/ lob threat Meyers was in college before he became strictly a shooter here.
Nas was MVP of the McDonalds' All American game in 2018. That game featured Zion, RJ Barrett, Reddish, Garland, Coby White, Keldon Johnson, Bazley, etc. This isn't a fluke.
Not sure if he has gained all his weight back yet, but the guy weighed in last year at 220, with 7'2" wingspan and a 38.5 vertical leap. So at 6'5" his wingspan is longer than Zach Collins. My point is he can play both forward positions easily. He is going to be very valuable if he continues to shoot the 3 well, and there is no reason to believe he won't. He had just started to show it last year as well before Covid hit.
I'm much less impressed with "potential" than most people; way to often potential is just a mirage but I do remember some games from Little last season when I thought he showed a good mix of athleticism and body control while displaying a foundation of of some worthwhile skills. The sum of his parts looked promising one game won't confirm all that for me. I know he's not as good a shooter as it looked last night and he did pad his numbers in garbage time but if Ant has 'earned' his opportunities than so has Little. And if anybody deserves less playing time it's Melo. That makes for a simple equation
I'd say Roco and Melo both have earned less playing time. More so Melo (or at least, using Melo only as a pass to and shoot guy not a create your own shot guy).
Excuse me while I go explain to the boss I owe him a new monitor, stapler and I have a buddy who can fix the hole in my office wall......
The part about this that is kinda scary is Jones going from questionable to out. He was questionable just two games ago and started off being questionable last game. Today no question at all. Just Out.
foot injuries can last a long time. And sometimes, initial tests don't reveal something serious. That was the case with CJ. Lots of bones, cartilage, tendons, and nerves in the foot. Knee injuries are much easier to diagnose
Good fucking god more injuries?? Wtf. This season is just a trainwreck. You know goddamn well dame will have an injury at some point. Just forfeit the season.
