Actually the world. International players get the added benefit from a 2nd country. But to be honest who cares who starts? They just care if they are selected or not.
no problem with Curry being a starter...he's earned it both career-wise and this season. Doncic is a great young player who fills up the stat sheet, but he's not as good as Dame
What's funn about this is that the whole point of the media and players voting was to eliminate the snubs, etc. But if yo look at it, there was no way for Damian to win a starting spot in this scenario, unless somehow Luka dropped to 4th in either players or media. And that wasn't going to happen. So what's the point of having the media and players vote?
how much higher can he go? that's what pisses me off. he's playing like the best player in the league already
Fans, players, and media all agreed that Steph was the #1 guard in the west. Not really much argument against him.
here are the final tallies Media votes: Steph-- 96 Dame -- 64 Luka -- 30 Player votes: Steph -- 172 Dame -- 131 Luka -- 58
The other travesty here is how in the world does Caruso from LAL end up #8 in fan voting. If that is reason enough to say fan voting is a joke, not sure what is
Disgraceful. NBA players voted Dame ahead of Luka. Media voted Dame ahead of luka. It was a tie because Luka had fan vote. If luka wants to get the upmost respect by true fans and players and Media He should announce " I thank all the fans who voted for me but i DO NOT deserve to start ahead of Dame he deserves it more this year”
So here is an unlikely scenario. Dame gets snubbed for All Star Starter and goes on to win MVP! Sounds good to me.
It's absurd that the guy probably would finish in the top three in the MVP voting if it was held today and can't even be an all-star starter in his own conference. That said, this probably is as good a thing that could happen to the Blazers outside of getting Pascal Siakam for draft picks. Dame always knows how to let stuff like this motivate him in a positive way that raises his level of play. Every time we think he can't do more, he sets the bar higher, and I think we'll see the same thing happen this time.
