No. 23 Arizona State Holds Off Grand Canyon 71-70

Arizona State guard Remy Martin (1) is fouled by Grand Canyon's Chance McMillian (2) as he drives to the basket
during the first half of an NCAA college basketball game, Sunday, Jan. 13, 2020, in Phoenix

Remy Martin had a rare quiet night in Arizona State's previous game, playing with what coach Bobby Hurley called a blank look in his eyes.

Martin's fire was back against Grand Canyon and the Sun Devils needed every bit of it.

Martin hit a 3-pointer with 9 seconds left and scored 23 of of his 31 points points in the second half, lifting No. 23 Arizona State to a 71-70 victory over Grand Canyon on Sunday.

Wright leads Colorado to 79-72 win over No. 17 Oregon

McKinley Wright IV wound up with a knot on the back of his neck from sliding into a courtside chair.

All the crash did was ignite him.

Wright recovered from the scary fall to score 21 points, including a game-sealing scoop layup with 27 seconds left, and Colorado held off No. 17 Oregon for a 79-72 win on Thursday.

No. 24 UCLA overcomes sloppy play to beat Cal 61-57

Not long after punctuating his 21st birthday with a clutch 3-pointer for UCLA, Jules Bernard had to think quickly when teammate Russell Stong tried to douse him with a celebratory bottle of water.

"I saw him. He was coming with the cap off," Bernard said. "I saw him lurking."

Bernard persuaded Stong to hold off on the water, but the Bruins still had fun celebrating with the birthday boy.

Cody Riley scored 13 points, Bernard made the crucial 3-pointer with 2:08 remaining and the 24th-ranked Bruins shook off a mistake-filled night to beat California 61-57 on Thursday.

Da Silva's buzzer-beat lifts Stanford over No. 24 UCLA

Oscar da Silva surveyed UCLA's defense and thought about hanging back to try a short jumper.

"They started yelling ‘Watch the lob, watch the lob,'" the Stanford senior said. "I just waited a little longer and the space opened up under the basket, and I went."

Da Silva scored off an inbound pass as time expired in overtime to lift Stanford over No. 24 UCLA 73-72 on Saturday, ending the Bruins' unbeaten streak in the Pac-12.

Mobley brothers carry No. 20 USC past Washington, 69-54

Andy Enfield was already thrilled with what he was getting from No. 20 Southern California defensively for most of the Pac-12 season.

The Trojans have been even better at that end of the court for their past two victories.

Evan Mobley scored 17 points, brother Isaiah Mobley added 12 points and 12 rebounds and No. 20 Southern California rolled past Washington 69-54 on Thursday night.

No. 17 USC beats Arizona State 89-71 behind Mobley brothers

Evan and Isaiah Mobley proved a two-man wrecking crew for Southern California, scoring nearly half the Trojans' points.

Evan Mobley had 22 points, nine rebounds and seven assists, and older brother Isaiah added 20 points and 12 rebounds in 17th-ranked USC's 89-71 victory over Arizona State on Wednesday that kept the Trojans atop the Pac-12.

No. 19 USC dominates 1st half in 72-58 win over Oregon

Southern California hasn't lost two games in a row all season, and the 19th-ranked Trojans weren't about to let it happen now.

Coming off an eight-point loss to Arizona, down a starter and having just one day to prepare, the Trojans led by 16 after a blistering start on their way to a 72-58 victory over Oregon on Monday night.

Horne, Wright lead Colorado to 80-62 rout of No. 19 USC

For the first time all season, McKinley Wright IV had his family in the building.

His parents, grandma and grandpa, brother and cousin were all treated to quite a show.

Wright had a career-high 14 assists, Jeriah Horne hit a career-best six 3-pointers on his way to 24 points and Colorado routed No. 19 Southern California 80-62 on Thursday night to sweep the season series.

Oregon State Takes Down Tennessee 70-56 As No. 12 Seed

Oregon State guard Ethan Thompson (5) drives on Tennessee forward Uros Plavsic (33) during the first half of a first round game at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in the NCAA men's college basketball tournament in Indianapolis, Friday, March 19, 2021.

Oregon State opened the season picked to finish 12th in its conference but instead won its first Pac-12 Tournament title. The Beavers faced another No. 12 hurdle in the NCAA Tournament and pulled off the upset.

They're certainly enjoying this underdog role.

Roman Silva scored 16 points and Oregon State took advantage of Tennessee's icy perimeter shooting to become the latest No. 12 seed to win its opening NCAA Tournament game, beating the fifth-seeded Vols 70-56 in the Midwest Region Friday night.
