That's why 80% of the league changes coaches and GMs more often than Portland. The other 20% finally found good ones by doing what the 80% do.

Like Chicken Little, Portland fans are terrified of change, afraid that the sky might fall, as in the Book of the Dead. But the sky doesn't draft in reverse order, which guarantees infinite incarnations.

agree but Bert and Jody are fine with it too. They'd have to be.

Been there, done that. A whole lot of short losing seasons was the result.

If we don't change anything, nothing is going to change.

Did we have Damian Lillard? Pretty sure we wouldnt have losing seasons with Damian Lillard. Pretty sure Stotts has never had a winning season without Damian Lillard either.

So which GM would you like to bring back when we get rid of Olshey?

Stotts was part of coaching staffs of two teams that went to the finals...one won a championship..same as Thibs...only Thibs only got there once as an assistant..but yeah...first time he had Gary Payton, Shawn Kemp and Nate McMillan, Sam Perkins and Detleff Schrempf...second time he had Dirk.....helps having good players...but Stotts was the offensive coordinator on two teams that went to the NBA finals....let's not forget that pedigree....and the game has changed since then for sure but success is success. I think Stotts is having success right now with a depleted roster in the toughest conference maybe ever in NBA history...theres' more competition now than I can remember seeing in my life...that's why non playoff teams can beat the Bucks or Blazers...they have talent. Parity is great for basketball...

Shane Battier was considered the smartest player in the league for a long time, he's been in the Heat front office learning from Pat Riley for the last four years. He'd be great.

However, the truth is that the Vulcans will have a much better understanding of who is out there in various front offices that would get this team to the point of honestly contending.

May as well hire Donald Trump. I would go for stealing the OKC GM (Presti)?

I think Trader Bob might be the best GM we ever had. Though, not a great president.

The problem was when we moved away from the Trader Bob days to other unknown commodities.

I'd be good with Presti. He's done well.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
I'd basically agree. I think he went a little big-name crazy at the end which shortened the Pippen-Sheed window (swapping out Grant and O'Neal for Shawn Kemp and Dale Davis), but up to that point, he did very well.

Pritchard was a talented GM, but gambled too hard on injury risks and it ended up biting him. If Oden and Roy had stayed healthy, though, the Blazers could have had a dynasty.

Even a Piston fan sees that Neil is hot garbage as a GM :bored:

The Thunder fan sums up why Olshey must be fired for this team to make a leap towards legitimate title contenders.
