Rangers played hard tonight just outmanned and outgunned by a better team. At least they didn’t quit. Don’t know what gorton is waiting for to get someone like reunnen and Barron up here to see what they can offer. Really don’t need to seee jack johnson, howden or lemieux anymore. Zib needs to do whatever to get going; cut his hair, wax his ass, anything.

This is a great post mel. Everything you stated I think is spot on. Nicely done sir!!!

You cannot be this dumb. The coach does not call up players from the AHL, the GM does. Cut your nonsense already.

I flip through that Hockeybuzz every day to read Jan Levine's blog on the Rangers. I think it was in the main article.

Too many penalties including 2 for too many men definitely made for a sloppy game. Sofgolekin outplayed again, Zbad 14% on draws and outshot dramatically but they were still in the game. I agree about Lemieux he has been invisible not doing much agitating. Quinn plays the hand he's dealt, should have Kakko and K'Andre back sooner than later.

I feel like I'm watching Tom Renney coach this team again. A world class fuckup who plays a bunch of no talent scrubs over real talent because they try hard. I can't believe the organization has regressed to a shithead coach like that again. I watched Renney keep 30 goal scorers, 70+ point guys in Hartford while he played scrubs who could't break 40 points in the AHL. Some couldn't reach 20. Richards gets 2 points his first AHL game. Then they call him up to the taxi squad. Now he's vanished. Unless he's hurt what the fuck is the point of that? If you aren't going to use him on the big club then let him play AHL games.

JD has been a massive failure since he's returned. Gorton is becoming inept. Make a fucking deal with DeAngelo already. Fire this scrub coach. Get rid of Howden. Get rid of Di Guiseppi. Release Johnson who is a disgrace. Lemieux, it's enough. He's stupid and his defense sucks. Get rid of Blackwell. Get rid of Rooney. Bring up Barron, Richards and Reunanen. Get a coach who will put Gauthier on the PP where he belongs. With health the team should be this. I'd gladly trade Howden and Lemieux for Bennett and I see no reason Calgary wouldn't do that. Strome and Buchnevich suck on the PP. Stop putting them out there. Let the kids figure out the PP.

    Panarin-Chytil-Kakko
    Lafreniere-Zibanejad-Kreider
    Buchnevich-Strome-Gauthier
    Bennett-Richards-Barron

    Miller-Trouba
    Lindgren-Fox
    Reunanen-who cares

    1st PP unit

    Panarin-Kreider-Kakko
    Zibanejad-Fox

    2nd PP unit

    Gauthier-Chytil-Lanfreniere
    Miller-Trouba

Since you're obsessed with Tom Renney these are his stats for the 5ish years he was here from when he took over for Sather till is firing and hiring of Torts....

    NYR 2003–04 20 5 11 0 4 (69) 4th in Atlantic — — — —
    NYR 2005–06 82 44 26 - 12 100 3rd in Atlantic 0 4 .000 Lost East quarter-finals
    NYR 2006–07 82 42 30 - 10 94 3rd in Atlantic 6 4 .600 Lost East semi-finals
    NYR 2007–08 82 42 27 - 13 97 3rd in Atlantic 5 6 .500 Lost East semi-finals
    NYR 2008–09 61 31 23 - 7 (95) Fired

05-06 we finished 3rd behind NJ and Philly by 1 point.
06-07 finished 3rd behind NJ and Pitt by 10 points
07-08 finished 3rd behind Pitt and NJ by 5points

You act like Renney was some chump that didnt win, he did and had competitive teams. But there were better teams in the division. Youre constant problem for the last decade is you set your expectations entirely to high, the only year we should have truly competed for the Cup was 05-06 but Jagr tried to punch crosby and messed up his shoulder.

As far as Quinn goes, are some of his decisions questionable, absolutely. Ultimately Gorton supplies Quinn with the roster, hes done a damn good job so far drafting and trading. Is he perfect NO, but hes moved this organization in the right direction for the future. You seem to think this team was going to march itself to the stanley cup this year which is preposterous, we'd be lucky to make the playoffs. This team may not being winning every game but they are competing most games. This year is all about cementing a philosophy/playing style for the youth movement to grow into, understand, develop and expand their understanding of NHL caliber hockey.

Now for you as a human being, you've been posting the same trash for 10years on multiple boards, the real question is do you even like hockey? are you even a Rangers fan? Cause all you've ever done is complain, in some warped rational you think people that have dedicated their lives to hockey are all incompetent. If you were as superior as you actually thought you were, wouldn't you be a GM/Coach/ Owner.....or even a player?

Blackwell has done a really nice job this year and may actually be attractive enough for Seattle to take for 1y on an expansion team.

And you still suck off every no name, never amount to anything in the NHL prospect...so it all evens out. You should just create a Hartford Wolfpack page and stay there.

What an embarrassing career trajectory for Lias Anderson. Thank god the Rangers saw the writing on the wall with him. Yet another disappointing 1st round pick.

Yeah, the Anderson pick turned out to be horrendous for a 7th overall pick!

At least they took Chytil in the first round and Barron later.

Wow, I thought you were going to blame Quinn for Andersson sucking, you know like you have over and over again - another player you were WAY off on - your Andersson love. But you have all the answers, or so your threads make us believe.
