I think when we get everyone back that Rooney deg and lemieux can be a pretty decent 4th line. Z man still cursed but his speed looks a lot better. Noticing he’s fanning on what was one of the best 1 timers in the business. Laf looked real good yesterday and had bad luck on that play he beat Rask on. Only thing left to see with Laf IMO is some more physicality. He’s still only 19 but tired of the shit he takes at theses goal line skirmishes. Wish a line mate would step in to stop the nonsense till the kid gets more confidence. I’m thinking chytil comes back tmo and then works his way back into form. I agree with what boomer said in that if panarin not going back to Russia which I don’t see he should be back in the lineup unless family there in danger which we haven’t heard. Abe to admit while Johnson stinks I didn’t mind him taking no shit from Frederic and bashing him over the head. Frederic would have gotten a 9.99 in a diving competition as he went down like he was shot and while down kept his eyes on the ref to see what he was calling then skated off. Also can’t say I didn’t enjoy buch’s hit on the rat where he limped off the ice and the crowd jeered him. This is the type of physical game we will see more often as this team physically matures and along with z man, Laf and kakko lighting up the scoring sheets. I know he’s young but is there really a reason why fox is not in the Norris conversation. Sorry to ramble bit I’ve been up all night replaying this game and hoping we see more of the same. Very interested how we react to a Boston team on Sunday who will come out hard after getting their balls kicked in by the isles and rangers 2 games in a row!! As JD would say OHHHH BABYYYY!

Nice to see every player on the same page and very few lapses. Quinn's breakout strategy was great beating the Bs forecheck and when their forecheck is clicking the Rangers can play with any team in the NHL. Seems like Georgiev deserves 1A status after another strong game. JD and Gorton did a great job upgrading the backups filling in for injured players this year. It's all about consistency and giving the same effort tomorrow.

I agree Panzer...you can knock guys like DiGi, Blackwell, Rooney all you want but they guys have done their job and then some. Blackwell gets a lot of scoring chances, is a fast skater...pairs well with Kreider.

Most rational fans would be delighted by such an unexpected early season surprise as 18 points from "no names" like Blackwell, Rooney and DiG for $2.15 mil on a cap strapped team but not the hardened group of mouth breathing hyper critics here. The Rangers are always going to need inexpensive players to counter their superstars salaries. Jack Johnson will teach the young dmen a helluva lot more than flopping Marc Staal ever would and at $1.15 is a ridiculous bargain for a Cup winner. As the young players gain confidence this team will only improve. Quinn started the season with the youngest NHL roster then suffered key losses to injuries and Russia nyet he still has had the roster he was given playing competitively most of their 18 games. The vets who were probably the last thing concerning JD and Gorton preseason seem to have woken up. I don't see the Rangers as desperate to trade the farm for a center but if it happens fine. A major chunk of the Rangers future for years is on the ice right now with the likelihood of a few more prospects joining the team later this year. Good times for most fans.
