That old guy sounds like me any morning I can’t get internet access. Thank God some of my neighbors still get the paper delivered.......
I don't drink wine, but my wife says it's probably the best she's ever tasted. https://www.dryfarmwines.com/
The best bottle of wine I ever tasted was a Chateau Latour Saint Emilionio (now they call it Chateau Latour Figeac Saint-Emilion). It'll cost plenty but if you like a dry red you'll love that blend. Plenty spendy though, I think it must be around $600/bottle. Second best was a bubblie white, Dom Perignon Champagne which my wife and I like better than Crystal. Third would have to be a sweet wine I had in California about 50 years ago, Chenin Blanc, there are dry versions. The sweet one had a world class fruity flavor which I tried in the Nappa Valley. If I could stock my collection with lots of bottles, I'd make most of them from those three. Next time you grill a great great steak like a Wagyu rib eye or NY try the Chateau Latour Saint Emilion. Get a sweet Chenin Blanc from the Nappa Valley for desert. Next time you have a special celebration try the Dom Perignon.
My wife likes Moscato and Champaign or ice wine or sweet vionnet or sauternes. She also likes some sweet Rieslings. We always serve our sweet wines chilled. We often have a glass of sweet when BBQing some foods on a hot day.
Yeah, my wife pointed that out when noticing my raised little pinky on the hand used to drink the wine or tea.
