Give credit to Gettleman for the moves he has made this offseason. Adding Golladay and Jackson were really solid moves. Solder back on the OL. Barkley back at RB. Ross and Rudolph also signed. It has been a very nice offseason I think. And I will say this right now - no excuses this season. It's all about wins and losses, that's it. On paper this team should be good.

OL in the best shape in a long time with Thomas going into year 2, and Solder back.

WR looks to be very strong now with Golladay, Slaton, Sheppard, and Ross. Add in Engram and Rudolph at TE, and Barkley out of the backfield, and Jones has plenty of weapons on O.

On D you lose Tomlinson at DT, a hole that needs to be filled in round 2 or 3 of the draft. The rest of the D stays pretty much intact, and they added Jackson, who can also return kicks, to pair with Bradberry at CB. Throw in Peppers and Ryan at S, and the secondary looks real good. The big need is a pass rusher, which I'd expect them to draft at # 11 in round 1.

The other good thing is outside of a pass rusher need in round 1 or 2 (and I say round 1 unless it would be a total reach at 11), you really have flexibility to draft best player. You draft a DT in round 2 or 3, maybe grab some OL depth in rounds 2-4, and maybe even another weapon in a receiver deep draft in rounds 2-4, and away we go. We have flexibility.

I set the bar at 10 wins this season, and anything less than 9 is unacceptable I feel. That is a head nod to the good job they have done this offseason, combined with a good coaching staff, combined with improving returning players. Now go get it done on the field.

They have given Jones the tools so now there's no excuse. It's time to start winning again.
