What are y'all doing this Summer? We're doing a NW trip in late July or August. My Niece's guy just sent us a quasi-itinerary. Man, this looks like a blast! On arrival we have http://pikeplacemarket.org The next day wineries to visit https://woodinvillewinecountry.comandhttps://www.ste-michelle.com a few minutes away! Then a trip to Austria for beer and fun, 2 days one nighthttps://leavenworth.org1:45 fun drive best enjoyed on week days! Come back for one night rest and BBQ, fly out the next morning on a seaplane--> https://www.kenmoreair.com/destinations/seattle/seattle-lake-union/ and go spend a couple of days at the spa --> https://rosarioresort.com
I'd LOVE to go camping! I'd do it, but my wife not so much. Maybe glamping. LOL PS: If our ship comes in, a customized Sprinter will be in the future.
Didn't you catch covid the last time you came out west? What disease are you aiming to get this time? barfo
Thinking of pulling trailer down to Carpinteria to meet up with friends and hang out for a week or so then make our way back with a stop at Crater Lake as the highlight of our trip home. No time line once we start and when we end.
My oldest daughter and I are going to the Teton's and Yellowstone. Along the way we are going to visit Idaho State and Montana universities. In July we are heading to Seattle for a couple of ball games and a visit to Western Washington. Hopefully through in some camping trips along the way.
No vacation plans. Son in college, daughter playing in college soccer ID camps and me not having any work lined up, no budget for vacation. We enjoy just going down to Cannon Beach and relaxing, that is about as exciting as it’s going to get.
Hawaii Vegas Seattle/Portland Dallas Vegas Bachelor Party Maybe random San Diego trip Basically every two weeks is a trip starting Memorial Day weekend
The best wine I've found in Washington state is the Columbia winery in the Red Willow valley. Their reds are a really good buy and their Rieslings are also very good.
Pike Place Market can't be beat. Two restaurants you might want to try are the revolving restaurant at the top of the Space Needle and Elliott's at the Pier which guess is now Elliott's Oyster House. Also, take the tour of the underground area which was flooded a long time ago. By the way Skid Road came from that area where logs were skidded down to the bay for transporting elsewhere.
So the covid emanates from the west? Figures. Nada. We believe we contracted it in Branson, MO from an ER nurse friend of my wife.
Will have at least one kid that will not be vaccinated before the end of the summer, so no flights anywhere for us. Also think that it is likely we see another surge despite the vaccination rollout, so we want to keep it outdoors and away from crowds. Have two weeks booked at Ocean Shores and another three weeks in Bend. Will probably not do all of them. Have done a lot of National Parks that are within driving distance but looking at options. Veterans getting access for free is pretty nice.
Thinking about a road trip to NOLA, Memphis and maybe Nashville. Would love to get in a trip back home to actually see friends and family since at Christmas it was just the parents along with sister/bil/niece/nephew.
