He will be but right now he makes me very nervous when he’s stickhandling in front of our net and turning it over.

if you notice he does that when tired and makes a lazy/sloppy play. He will learn but coach can’t burn the kid out every game especially when we start playing the better teams during the last few weeks of the season. He will be eaten alive.

Need a better distribution of the minutes. Kids were fresh and playing well and 2 of them scored goals. Vets weren’t and looked exhausted in the third.

We've been saying this all season. I wouldn't expect Quinn to change at this point.

The team keeps winning and you guys keep nit-picking. 13-4-3 in their last 20 games. Miller playing too much, kids not playing enough, D not playing well. My god you guys are absolutely impossible to please. Only shot to make people happy is if they do exactly what you guys want, and win by 5.

Bottom line is the team is playing really well, and has been for a long while now, right at the top of the league. Kids are playing better and better. They will not make the playoffs this season, but that should be the last time we say that for a while I think.

I get it, you guys don't like Quinn, and the team is winning and the kids are playing well and improving, so that's not good for your non-stop Quinn bashing all season. So I know you guys are not allowed to say it, but Quinn has really done a solid job with this team as the kids have clearly been improving and playing some of their best hockey. All good stuff.

They will lose some games down the stretch as 7 of their last 11 are against Boston, Washington, and the Isles. But overall arrow pointing up, and it's an exciting time to be a Rangers fan. Enjoy it.

I also think the Rangers don't take the Devils seriously. However, I think it would have been a good spot to play Reunanen here and give Miller a rest. Hajek probably could use a rest. Reunanen should have been the guy. Not a below average vet who hasn't played forever. Agree, play the kids more. Quinn is still trying to save his job and it shows. I've been a harsh critique on Buchnevich but it seems to me now that he's extremely dangerous one on one and other teams defenseman are starting to back up a lot on him. It's almost has if he has finally figured out how to use his size and reach. I feel at this point that Kreider probabaly should be the guy they would move if dumbass Gorton didn't give out another stupid NMC and limited NTC clause. That Kreider contract is looking horrible right now. Even though he's still our screen guy every PP. I believe they have a ton of money coming off the books next year in Shattenkirk, Hank and Smith. Georgiev might be moved. Gorton if going to have to be smart and lock Fox, Lindren and Kakko up now to 4 year deals at less money than he will in 2 years if he gives them a bridge deal. If he doesn't lock Fox up this year, it's going to cost him about 8 million a year from now.

Play the kids more, give the kids a rest, Quinn coaching for his job. If they lose he gets ripped. If they win he gets ripped. Good times.

Go root for the Flyers tonight, and focus on a must win game Tuesday night against the Isles.

I figure Buch is going to get 6.5 after this year. Fox I would extend after this season. Gorton needs to change the way he does things with contracts or he will be in a ton of trouble. Bridge deals won't work when you have this many talented players. Lindren's contract is up. He needs to give him a 4 year deal at least. For the love of God unless it's an impact player, stop giving out NTC and NMC's. He has to stop doing that. He's awful with that. I would have never given Kreider a NMC or NTC with the money he got. If you lost him, oh well. Shit happens. Fox is a cornerstone guy who only wanted to play here. Buchnevich is not. Lindgren is not. Gorton can't give NMC or NTC's to those guys. Fox can get a clause like that. Zibanejad will be 29 when his contract is up. You can't give him a NTC or NMC at that age. It's insane. Especially if Kakko, Kravtsov and Lafreniere are lighting it up by then. Don't forget Mr. Igor will want his money.

Hopefully after next year the cap will start going up 2-3m per year as we will need it. I think Georgiev gets moved at some point to reduce the cap stress a little. I wouldn't rule out Trouba being bought out by 2024-25.

The difference now is the kids and kravtsov are really playing well and it’s a positive when their out there. Quinn needs to adjust to how their playing now.

To me Buch is an interesting case. We have a lot of wingers. Pending our other moves this summer, I may not give Buch a big raise and instead look to deal him. That might be the smart play given the current makeup of the roster. I wouldn't give him 6 mill + on this team. That's a guy I include in a package deal.

As for the cap, I expect 2 more years of flat cap, then we'll see an increase. I think the NHL has said as much.

Since we have been winning a lot, and one of the best teams in the NHL the past 20 games, I hope Quinn doesn't adjust too much. The kids are playing well and getting their minutes. Works for me.

Just want to point out that the minutes played today for the forwards while heavily weighted to the vets you have to keep in mind they spent a good chunk of the game on the PP. For the most part the PP was going 1:20+ of PP1 to :40 for PP2. Also, the vets are on the PK, not the young guys. I will say in a game where they have a comfortable lead with little chance of the opposing team coming back I would definitely like to see a LaF, Chytil, Kravtsov, Miller, Trouba PP.
And in a game where they blew a 3 goal lead and were tied for much of the third period if you want them to win but have a problem with their best players getting the majority of the ice-time I don't know what to say to you. Quinn made the right moves at the right time when it counted and they got a much needed win.
Meanwhile Isles win it in OT.

Well, at least that pretty much eliminates the Flyers behind us. Long shot either way.

They've shown a glimpse of how good they can potentially be. With the shorter schedule, odd schedule and weird team alignments makes a playoff birth just not in the cards. I expect big things next year.

The New York Rangers have risen from the bottom of the East Division to start the season to become one of the hottest teams in hockey. Since Artemi Panarin returned on March 13, the Blueshirts are 13-4-3 for 29 points. That is good for second in the entire NHL over that span.

The biggest issue for the Rangers, and the reason they are going to miss the playoffs, is the Caps and Pens are tied for 4th with 26 points, and the Bruins are 8th with 24 points over that time span. We have gained 7 points on the Isles over that timeframe.
