From experience - my brother died in his sleep at age 8 - parents never fully recover.

A friend of mine lost her 3 year old son to SUDC (sudden unexplained death in children). She's had another son since then, but you can tell her candle is a lot dimmer now than it was before.

Hopefully Scottie and Antrons mother Karen have family around them to help with their horrible loss.

My brother died in a fire as a toddler. My mother has been a wreck since that day. Nearly 40 years.

So sorry for Pippen and his family.

Not giving this a post a "like" for the loss, but for the share and the depth. Damn. That's heavy. My biggest fear as a father is to see a child leave before I "peace out".

Agreed. I have 3 beautiful children 14, 12, and 11. All I want is to enjoy them every second possible for the rest of my life and check out long before they do.

We lost our grandson almost 3 years ago. You never really get over it. It was our granddaughter's 5th this past weekend, a fun joyous occasion. First big family get together since covid, it was great seeing family and friends but in the back of your mind thoughts of birthdays lost creep in.
