LMA and Durant remind me a lot of each other. Weird that they both went to Texas. A couple of emotionally fragile egos with bad communication skills.
Whether they actually want to or not doesn't really matter. This organization has shown they care a lot about how it's presented to outside parties (ie. free agents). It would be more odd if they didn't retire LMA's number.
I'd much rather retire Sabonis' number... but even then I don't think he deserves it. If you weren't instrumental in winning a title, or a model teammate and leader who put up exceptional numbers and won us tons of games you don't get your name up there IMO. Sabonis fits the bill better than Aldridge, but still not enough. Though I wouldn't be upset about it given his body of work in Europe... But Aldridge up there just cheapens it, IMO.
We should really only have a handful of names hanging. Walton Lucas Drexler Dame (when he retires) I think we need a ring of honor for Porter, Kersey, Duck, Roy, etc.
Merge with the All Thing Lamarcus thread and then nobody comment so I can just forget about the dude.
As a player, LMA can get fucked and that’s the nicest thing I can say. as a person I wish him the best in retirement
