You have chosen a good organization to research. Not just for sustainability but community projects and activities. I also feel you have chosen a good sport in the NBA as it has many good models. If you look toward the smaller markets you will see that those organizations seem to work a little harder for obvious economic share purposes. The more the Blazers can keep their name in the community the more profitable they can be. It's a win/win for them to continue these activities.

Even German sports fans consider the Blazers unsuccessful...

No, that wasn't what I meant regarding the Blazers. I mean difficult to define "success" for a NBA team (is it all about winning?) but I would not consider Blazers unsuccessful (just seeing them play and highlights from Dame make them more successful than other teams - again if success is not just about winning the titel but more about how the overall team performance).

Thanks. I also have the feeling that there are not many teams doing more than the Blazers. But also the other Portland teams seem highly engaged in such topics.

That is also true. And yes, I also see at as a good fit and something also other teams around the world should "explore" or "try out".

I did the survey, but I kind of question how much good data you'll get out of it.

It didn't ask if I lived in the area. I live 5000 miles away. So how likely is it that any of my opinions about Blazer sustainability will be representative of the market they are trying to impact with their program?

Also, the survey went longer than I thought it would. I started off giving honest and thoughtful answers, but as it kept going on and on and lots of the questions seemed repetitive, I have to admit I cared less and less. I wonder if you'll find that in many of your results you'll have lots of variety of answers in the early answers, but the final questions will have far more answers in the middle as people stop thinking it through. I would design it to be much more concise if I were planning on surveying unpaid people on the internet.

Lastly, I completely lied about my income. I don't know you. Why would I tell you that?

I wish you luck with this, but there's enough problems with your survey design that if it were me I'd start over.

Hi mook, thanks for the honest answer. You are absolutely right that the questionnaire has some let us call it "downsides" which I am (partly) aware of (partly as I highly appreciate it to get feedback from others!)
The length is a big issue you are absolutely right . I discussed that before with some researchers but it was difficult to shorten the questionnaire due to the research question. The location where you live was also excluded due to the research question (it is important that you are a fan). And regarding the other questions: I can absolutely understand what you mean but I used established constructs. The time is an estimation based on pre-tests but I already heard that some people need much longer (while others go more fast through it).

In the end I will check all the the questionnaires (and use some statistical tests as far as possible) to see if people gave honestly answers. And of course, I never know if someone give honest answers or lied about all the things he filled in. But there are not too many things you can do here (of course shorten it or pay people but that is not always possible).

Nevertheless, thanks for your honest feedback and giving it a try. Best wishes, Lennart

Hi all! This is short reminder for my research project. Would be really happy if some of you (who may wanted to fill it out) could have a look at my questionnaire and share some time to fill it out. I would be happy to share my findings with you later here in the forum! Best wishes, Lennart
