I didn't really get a positive vibe. It's more what i didn't hear than what I did. Didn't hear any commitment to staying. Didn't really hear an endorsement of the new coach. I still believe if the team doesn't make great progress this year, he will ask out.

Agreed. But he didn't seem negative either. All this trade request talk is pre-mature. He seems like he's willing to give it a go for at least one more season.

That's how every interview with him goes. He doesn't get too high, or too low. He says what he says, and then goes on.

I think a lot depends on this off-season, and how much Neil improves (or doesn't improve) the roster.

    Anyone catch this?

    EDIT:

    Windhorst on Dame:

"It was a non-denial about trade rumors. He (Dame) has dealt with trade rumors for the last 4 or 5 years and over and over he has said no, I want to be in Portland, I want to be with these teammates. He stopped short of that this time, whatever I said about the direction of the team I've said to the team and that was it. Now you can interpret that in many different ways. Reality is, people around Damian Lillard have been saberrattling behind the scenes with different teams and with the Trailblazers themselves. I don't think he's at that threshold yet, but I think he's closer than he has been in the past, and I think his comments yesterday were revealing in that regard."

I don't know what saberrattling means, but otherwise I think it's a fair assessment of the situation.

From watching the video it seemed like speculation based on Dame's comments. I agree with him though.

There was a time when if reporters mis-informed the public purposely it was deemed unethical. I still view it that way it it tells a lot about a person that fabricates because he doesn't have anything else.
Of course now days there is no ethical approach with many bloggers and reporters, just throw it out there and see if it sticks. Sprinkle some super negativity in for juice and wall la.

Argentina’s Independence Day was yesterday. Colombia is the 20th of July. Peru and Venezuela also have July independence days

    I have a prediction.

We are going to see the true value of Dame Time; and it will go something like this.......

Dame will eventually get what he wants.

Dame will go to another team like NO or MIN. He will go play with another star.

However, he will not win a title.....

Now, people will finally see what I have been saying. They will finally question, "Can you win with Dame as your number one?" The answer is NO.

If he goes to LAC or LAL (Which I cant see given what they have to give us....Or don't have), he will win, no longer being the number 1 guy.

Would I like to keep Dame? YES!!!! But what doe that matter without another superstar???? Not a Beal, not a Zion, not a Jaylen, not a Butler....A legit 1-A, 1-B guy.

The Suns & Bucks have gotten to the finals with really two super stars although I wouldn't deem CP3 one, sure HOFer, but a notch down from MJ,LJ,KB,KD imo. I wouldnt even put TGF in the top Super Star category yet.
I think you can be lucky with late first, second round players that bust open and put them around 1 Super Star and win it all.
