I mean, if you are willing to wait 16 or so years for the top 4 or 5 teams to have injuries.....Sure...Go for it....You can win with only one star. Kind of says more about us that we could not take advantage of it like PHX did. My bigger point was, we need a true number one........Then again, he could not beat Nigeria with KD and Tatum.........But I digress. Let him go, but get top value for him. I am not attached to Dame as most here. I look through the bars and logo threes, and ask myself...What has Dame actually achieved??? I am not talking rings, did he even notch some solo "I am on a crappy team" accomplishments like MVP, scoring champ, three point champ, all-star mvp...something????? No, he has not. You guys don't find that strange??? If he is, what you guys claim he is, what are his achievements? Maybe a Gold medal when this tournament is over, but right now??? He has done nothing, not even individually. Look at other pgs like Kyrie and Curry's achievements compared to Dame's. They accomplished way more, beyond the rings. Kyrie is much younger which makes this more head scratching.
hold on, are you actually blaming him for the loss? What exactly has Kyrie achieved (without having multiple all stars on his team)?
Kyrie is a head case and always injured. He cant guard either. You put Green and healthy Thompson with Dame now and good chance they win it all. Every year there are key injuries that prevent some teams from winning it all.

And the idea that we've had better is funny too. Clyde never won any of the individual shit that this guy was talking about either but we recognize that being a perennial all-nba selection means your one of the very best in the league and in Dame's case being the fifth or sixth vote getter for all-nba the last several seasons means that's where he ranks in the league. So I think being first or second team all-nba for the last four seasons puts you in the top ten players in the league and should make you a legit number one option. Not only is he a prolific scorer as you just showed, he's been top 10 in the league in assists 3 of the last 4 seasons. The last two seasons he was second in the league in points scored and assisted behind Steph this season and Harden the season before. https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/most-points-scored-or-assisted-per-game-season-2020-21
