    BS - that fool has been writing that way since the moment he got here from Fresno. Shame his career didn't carry him onwards, instead we've gotten stuck with him (and yes, third generation Oregonian).

    All that said, I'm glad they're getting a new logo - I never liked that we had just copied Chicago's NHL team. The Winterhawks are one of the most successful franchises in Canadian Junior Hockey - they should have their own identity.

    At last count, my siblings and I (those of us who still live in Oregon) are, I think, 5th generation Oregonians (which, outside of this thread, amounts to not a lot).

    I agree that they should have had their own identity, or logo, for a while. I remember one "fan" telling me that they were a farm team of the Blackhawks, which is why they had the same logo.

    I missed that Sabres logo from 2006-2010 - atrocious. Fitting for such an awful franchise, but still.
