I don't start new threads too much, but this is interesting for me. Where is Dame's status right now? Which players are mostly protected by refs in games?

I think, that all this storm of rumors could actually make him a favor, as he is the player that all NBA fans are talking right now. Every other team's fan I talked to, would love Dame to play for his team.
It's funny, how this storm came out exactly with Space Jam.

Anyways, I think, that after this off season there will be lot more eyes looking on Dame. Could that earn him protection from constant hits from other teams?

(And, by the way, I think, strong support from fanbase help this guy somehow as well. Just sayin.)

Maybe. He was top 10 in FT attempt avg. I believe around 7 per. I felt it should have been closer to 10 with all the hard contact. He almost started to have to flop and act to get his point across.

All I know is that fuckers are allowed to body the shit out of Dame on defense. The refs let defenders get away with WAY more than they do on Luka or Booker or Giannis or AD etc.

Example - we couldn't even touch AD in the first round a year ago. All he had to do was drive and it was auto foul shots. Every time.

Dame has never gotten that treatment. Do you think a little fucker like Campazzo would have been able to defend Dame if he was on the Lakers? Fucker would have fouled out of every single game.
