This move seems to be well received. Apparently hits all the time and he’s pretty tough and he’s got a decent shot that seems to be the scouting report.

Seems worth throwing into the 4th line mix.

Have to admit I'd never heard of this guy until the news of the signing. However it's rare that the analytics crowd and the old school crowd both agree on someone, and both are saying he could be a great find. Reading up on him he might be able to grab a 4th line spot, and if he hits we have him for 2 years for cheap.

He certainly has a Canadian hockey players name.

Seeing Hunt-McKegg-Rooney as the 4th line. Kreider-Goodrow-Blais as the third line. I see Kravtsov, Strome, Hajek and Barron being used in trades at this point.

It's going to be interesting to see how that line plays out. I think Blais is better suited there but unless they acquire someone he may end up on the 3rd line.

I’m sure he’s be available in the right deal, but based on things said last year I think they like Barron and want to keep him. His versatility to play C or W is valuable. I can see him in the bottom 6, with McKegg the spare.

I hope so. I'd loved Barron as a prospect for years. His size, shot, hockey IQ. I'd much rather keep him than Kravtsov.
