I like this but didn't realize he's 34! The Rangers bottom 6 is more like a bottom 10 right now.

Ok enough with muscles. The other teams will be skating circles around us next year.

They're really going overboard with the toughness thing but whatever, hopefully it pays dividends.

I disagree. You can't make the playoffs when your stars are all hurt. First game Wilson better get his ass beat. The first game vs. the Islanders Martin better get his ass beat. I've said for months now the young kids need protection for a couple years and all the players can now play brave without fear. Reeves can hold his own on the 4th line and you don't have to play him in the playoffs if it's a problem. You have some kids and a guy like McKegg who can man the 4th line. It's an easy win move. Your 4th line will play 7 to 10 minutes a game. Their job is to hit, intimidate, kill some penalties and protect the team. You have 2 smaller defenseman in Fox and Lundkvist, Three young talents in Lafreniere, Kakko and Chytil. A smaller star in Panarin. A guy in Zibanejad with a history of concussions. You must protect them.

I would love to see the dumb fuck expression on Wilson's face when he heard about that trade.

A lot of writers are whining we gave up a 3rd round pick for Reaves , saying he’s too slow and sucks at this point. After that disaster last year I wouldn’t have cared if they gave a first round pick. A lot of fans and writers have that same pussy mindset Gorton had. The teams that went deep all have Reaves-type players. I actually think Reaves is a good skater. Last years Rangers couldn’t win in an alley against a women’s hockey team . A bunch of pansies. Teams are getting tough and are ditching this stupid mentality that every line has to be filled with 22 year old college kids that skate fast - boy that is suck a boring brand of hockey

Who gives a fuck about a third round pick. They have so many prospects that probably have no room here they can acquire multiple first and second round picks anytime they like. There is no point in having elite young talent if it isn't healthy, protected or can't play brave because your team is a pussy team.

He'll be useful for 2y, even at 34.

Drury certainly wasn't messing around when he stated his goas for retooling the Rangers. I love the signing of Reeves short term to be used against specific teams.
