Yeah and because ball is played both sides then it is not. What frustrates me more though is that Olshey always takes into account regular season metrics to make his case. That means shit in playoffs.
You are right. That one is actually probably more of a steal. This one is more of a game changer if that makes sense.
i wonder if we promised him a starting job. would be interesting if we turn him into a super 6th man like jordan clarkson or the like. think he'd flourish in a role without CJ next to him.
The fact is he will flourish next to Dame or CJ if he's able to play at the 2 but if we put him at the 3 we're wasting his defense.
Like Vinny Johnson playing behind Dumars and Thomas? I certainly hope he's not our starting small forward. Being undersized at the 2, 3, and 4 just is not a good idea even in today's NBA. Ideally we'll move CJ for real value, but failing that I hope we get a 3-and-D guy at the small forward and have Powell come off the bench or fill in when injuries strike our back court.
The dude just got 90 million guaranteed. As long as he is getting his minutes I doubt he really cares.
No. Ergo, that is NOT the plan. The plan is Simmons and a stretch 4-5 in the mold of Portis if we can still afford him and with renouncing Zach, getting Zeller for Vet Min to replace Zach and then signing Powell on the cheap this makes the Simmons trade exception bump in price way, WAY more palatable. Need a math whizz here, but this reaffirms my belief the target is Simmons as does the sudden Morgue-like silence around CJ and Simmons.
Norm is solid and balances out a good starting 5. CJ I think is more suited to being a super 6th man. If we can get another starting forward I think CJ off the bench would be an amazing improvement.
How does this not have a billion likes by now? It was posted over 5 minutes ago! LOOOOOOL I mean I was straight LMFAO and had to compose myself to type this.
lol...sometimes Quick is fucking ridiculous. That "one of the best starting lineups in the NBA" got boat-raced by an injured Denver team just 2 months ago
It's a line that is fed to him (and continues to be) by someone in the org. Probably someone that works in Olshey's FO.
I want 1, I can live with 3, I wouldn’t do 2. But if KAT were ever an option, this is where the Nassirs and Anfernees and 1st rounders are available. Something like: POR gets: KAT MIN gets: CJ, Simmons, Nurkic, 2022 top-10 protected 1st, 2023 pick swap PHI gets: Russell, Simons, 2024 lotto-protected 1st If Nas could enter the playoffs as a starter, great. But if not, you find a guy to fill in as SF for the season and reassess the SF situation at the trade deadline. A guy like Batum would’ve really been nice, but there guys like Oubre still out there that you can give a 2+1 year deal to. You could do a S&T and send the Warriors DJJ and 2 2nds. Austin Rivers wouldn’t be a bad backup off the bench. Dame/Norm/Oubre/Covington/Towns Rivers/McLemore/Little/Brown/Zeller That would be a lot more balanced. Little needs to eventually get some playing time with the starters and Greg needs to get bigger and completely fix his shot.
