Easily USA’s second best player at these Olympics, and I think their most important player. USA can replace Durant’s scoring from within this squad, but I’m not sure the can replace Holiday’s defence, and game management.
If Dame sits the rest of this game he had a great game defensively and even though his shot has been off for every game except Iran, he can feel good about the defense he played tonight.
It's not that sad. Unless your KD or just blatantly ball hogging it like Tatum... you're going to be a role player with the kind of usage Durant is getting. Who isn't a role player on this team?
I was hoping he might be Robin to Durant’s Batman. But he’s not even looking for his own shots, he’s just relegated to catch and shoots. Most other players are looking for their own shots. Dame has just been so passive.
