I love this selection as a flyer. Even if he doesn’t pan out, an athlete of his caliber and size means more ability in practice for Little and others to go against and simulate what the most athletic and long NBA wings possess.

and this guy, if things break right could be a disrupter on defense. It’s a low cost attempt to be better in the future while as an organization we have to concentrate more on getting better now. I doubt he provides anything this year. But we can’t play 15 players anyways.

I’d rather take a flyer on an young athletic monster with a high ceiling than a ground-bound more refined player whose physical limitations guarantee a low ceiling, even if it means a higher floor.

I also love that he plays with intensity. He just needs to develop skills.

Definitely a lot to like from the first couple of games. Shot looks smoother than it did in college. Doesn't seem fazed or to be trying to do too much in summer league.

The Darius Bazely comparison seems pretty good, but I think Brown's ahead of him by quite a bit coming into the league.

He’s got good instincts defensively: getting in passing lanes, taking charges, blocking/altering shots, it’s all there. At the same time you can see how he needs to get stronger, as he’s gotten pushed around quite a bit. But that’ll just come with time. I don’t see him contributing as a rookie, but I think he’ll be really good in a year or two. He’s probably the most physically gifted player Olshey has ever drafted tbh.

I haven't listened to him talk... I'm curious if he's a sharp guy or if he sounds like a Thomas Robinson or Travis Outlaw.

Here's an interview with Brown as he was enrolling at Texas ... has a pretty good reputation of being a hard worker from what I've read, too.

Joe Ingles would be literally my last guess as players brown looked up to. That intrigues me for some reason.

Seems like his teammates already like him. Dame liked the IG post of him signing as well.

HedgeHog? Is this a hairstyle reference? Surely he never went to a school whose mascot is a hedgehog (because, if so, I WANT MERCHANDISE!)

I like Brown, Blankney and Kimg. And we should consider Faried to keep the bench warm / when players are in foul trouble. Can’t wait to see what we get out of Mudiay tonight [too lazy to check name spelling].

    Not impressed with Ellesby

He seemed like a really nice guy when I got my picture taken with him after today’s game. Well spoken. Polite.

yeah, also shows what they think of him, if trading for him wasn’t convincing enough lol. Elleby for example only got two years.
