Yep and you could trade Nurk to Boston and have Boston send a pick to the Sixers. We’d have to remove lottery protection for this year to trade our 2024 pick but no worries because that lineup you cite would dominate. i traded Nas as well because that’s the ceiling of the trade I’d offer the Sixers. Id love to try it without giving up Nas obviously. I would definitely sign some big guys with our final slots like Bismack Biyombo.

OK, talking about Slo-Mo got me thinking. CJ and Roco to Philly, Curry to Memphis and Simmons and SloMo to Portland.

OK, I'll throw out another one. CJ and Brandon Clarke to Philly, Roco to Memphis, Harris, Curry and Slo-Mo to Portland.

The Celtics still have to match Nurk's salary at least around 80% of it.

Simmons for CJ is still my ideal trade. Simmons makes everyone around him better. He still has potential to improve his shooting (see Jason Kidd for a great example) defensively Dame would be our weakest player but our best offensive player. Defensively that team would be top 5

    Defense wins championships!

do you think they’d do Smart plus a pick with Smart going to us?

Or a guy who can’t shoot.

No, Smart is a win now player, just like Nurk and they're probably not a first round pick apart, closer to equal value. When looking at what the Celtics could give, they don't make a lot of sense to me as a third team because of the salaries they do have and some of the restrictions they have because of the moves they made recently.

I do think there are teams that would want Nurk that I'm not even thinking of that would have the right piece or pieces.
