I don’t think Morey is the GM refusing the CJ for Simmons trade. That’s how stubborn Neil is, he’s not trading CJ.

I hope you're wrong and I think even if the two teams are on board with a permutation of that trade Morey might be waiting to see if anything else tops it and Neil might be trying to get the trade done straight up instead of giving up more than just CJ. You could be right though and that would be fucking terrible.

If Olshey wont trade CJ plus a reasonable addition for Simmons he should be fired...into the Sun.

You did notice how Simmons is better in basically every possible stat right, especially advanced stats? Maybe you're just, mathematically wrong if you think CJ is better?

Can a trade include Ant Simons as well. That's going to get too confusing to write.

Never said CJ was better, and in fact said multiple times go ahead and make the deal. I think Simmons is overrated and a head case. I actually get giddy thinking of this place when he’s intentionally fouled and can’t make FTs. I think he’s an excellent defender so bring him in. But if Philly wants what they THINK he’s worth, I would pass. Which is exactly why he’s still a Sixer. Nobody else feels he’s worth that much. CJ for Ben, sure. When I see CJ and Nassir and picks, no thanks.

what part of that is too much in your estimation? Nassir? If so where is Nassir in the rotation if you have Simmons, Nance, RoCo and Powell all ahead of him? Are you saying adding 5-10 minute a game guy is a deal breaker for you or is it the picks?

Nas could have big value at the deadline if he shows more flashes up until then. If we feel we still need one more pc, we have him to use.

Why would NY be looking to move Randle though? He was the foundation of their turnaround last year wasnt he?

I think Nassir is going to be a really good player. In fact this year I think he breaks out. He might make other guys expendable - especially with Nance. Maybe Roco who knows at this point. I don’t think anyone is untouchable but again for what you get in return, no. Now if it’s Maxey and Ben - then yes. Maxey is a stud.

That's reasonable and Nas is low-key my 3rd favorite player after Dame and RoCo. He's also still fairly cheap. How many more years do we have his contract for? I'm actually ok with trading RoCo as part of the Simmons trade now due to Nance and Little. Not saying I want to, just saying I could be talked into it especially if we get another useful player like Curry, Maxey, or of course, Thybulle coming back.

Let me be clear, I REALLY like Little. I was wanting Stotts head on a pike for his criminal underuse of Little last year especially when Melo was Ice-Cold. However, if he's the sticking point because the Sixers need another wing to replace some of Simmons minutes, I'm willing to budge. I'd much prefer to trade CJ straight up of course.

Yeah some journalist or blogger said CJ and RoCo for Simmons and Maxey yesterday. I didn't think that sounded too bad and it would get Olshey way under the luxury tax line.

I would rather trade CJ, Nas and a pick for Simmons because I want to see Dame, Norm, Nance, RoCo and Simmons playing together... I don't know what we do with Nurk if that's our best lineup but it's a lineup I want to see.

Simmons is the kind of high stakes gamble that Trader Bob would have made. It's the kind of gamble we need to win a championship.

Man, was Trader Bob the best Post-77 GM we’ve had? I think so.
