Was a neat interview, though I kind of wish he had spent a little more time addressing his time in Portland.

terrific interview and MPJ is surprising me.

Still think it's painful for Brandon talk about. MPJ tried to transition from how Greg felt to how he felt leaving the game early, and BRoy just kinda glossed over it. It's been a decade since he left and I still am not over it completely.

i know there are those here who want to throw mud his way for the minny signing, but shit.. this was OUR guy.

    :(

Did he seriously drop Felton as good in his era?

At partying and collecting a check for doing squat. He also showed promise as a woman beater.

    … as a tripod?

Two of his legs were more flimsy than the third.

Honestly, I feel bad for him. I’d have struggled mentally as a talented young athlete and status given his physical struggles.

He really was, his timing on rebound and blocked shots was all time. He was also a great finisher around the rim on offense. Damn that team could have been something without the injuries.

Several championships. Knowing what we knew... He was the right choice at the time. 100%.

There was a sequence that Greg had @ Minny. It was a block, then he gained control and took it all the way down the court and dunked!!!! One of the few times I stopped what I was doing and actually said, "WOW!" out loud from what I had just seen on the court. The guy could have been amazing, our team could have been......sigh.

Oden had a nice shooting touch, too. I remember watching him shoot free throws at Ohio State (obviously before he was a Blazer but after I knew he was one of the best prep prospects ever) and was so impressed that he didn't shoot free throws like a big guy.

Granted, he only shot like 63% from the line that year, but he looked like he had a real future shooting the basketball.

I'm a BIT too young to fully appreciate Bowie, who was more of the wrong pick who got hurt anyway, so getting absolutely nothing out of Oden is the most heartbreaking thing in my Blazers fandom. I don't even care we didn't get Durant... I'm sad we didn't get Greg Oden.
