That's exactly what a Lakers fan would say to a Blazers fan when a Blazers fan tells them they dislike them and are a rival of ours.

Not really, most Laker fans can't form complete sentences.

    See @THE HCP for example.

    Back on subject.....

2-2 record or not, Stanford is not a team to take lightly. This is indeed a potential trap game for the Ducks. They simply can't afford to play the way they did last week.

If you say so. But most Laker fans aren't Oregonians... And most don't root for the Blazers against every other team in the NBA.

So not at all like a typical Laker fan.

This will be a blowout. Thibadeaux back and inexperience at quarterback for Stanford. Ducks by 17+

Stanford, under Coach Shaw, has been a House Of Horrors for the Ducks. I'm sure Mario has let his team know. I'm not sure how many Duck players remember the come from behind victory ,Stanford had at Autzen, where the Ducks were up big, and it totally fell apart. If the Ducks go into this game with the Ohio State game mindset, they will win. But Stanford has got their act together now, and should not be taken lightly.

agree, and actually there isnt a team in the Pac 12 you can take lightly. I expect them to get better as the season goes on as they are very young except for qb and bf.
If Ducks can stay healthy throughout the season they have a good chance of running the table.

that inexperienced QB is very talented and has 4 games under his belt. As usual, Stanford has a bunch of big WR's and TE's. And they still do the one thing that has always bothered the Ducks and that is ball control and limit opponent possessions

I don't think this will be an easy game at all for Oregon. It's also not a trap game because the Ducks are fully aware of the threat that Stanford is. I think Stanford is better than their 2-2 record, and even as a Duck fan, I don't think Oregon is as good as their #3 ranking. They have too many injuries to their front-7 on defense; and their QB has trouble with accuracy on longer throws.

Now, a big reason, IMO, for that QB inaccuracy is that he's making a conscious effort to not throw interceptions. Brown has taken over 220 snaps and has 98 pass attempts without an interception or fumble. But that ratchets down his passing efficiency and results in some empty possessions. And if Stanford is successful in controlling ball & clock and limiting possessions, enough empty Duck possessions will kill them

Trap game? You think they were more focused on mighty Arizona or the upcoming bye week?

more trouble then the Beavs sure, but here's to a 3rd straight lopsided win. Guessing that a return of their best player won't hurt the cause.

    2020 - UO wins 35 -14
    2019 - UO wins 21-6

They do? In their last game vs Bruins, they lost time of possession 37:35 to 22:25 & Chip Kelly isn't exactly known for ball control. Teams have been consistently gashing them with the run all season long outgaining them 209-113 yards per game and their top back (Jones) is listed as questionable for the game.

True, but LeBron doesn't feel that way. He takes playing Dame & the Blazers seriously. That's real respect.

Stanford will try to do exactly what Arizona did. In that Az game, they had the ball for 38 minutes, the Ducks had it for 22 minutes. The Ducks are vulnerable to a ball control game because of injuries in their front-7

Oregon is 97th in the NCAA in opponent 3rd down conversions. And they are 122nd in opponent 1st downs/game. Those are big weaknesses that will cost them if they don't correct those weaknesses. And it's certain Shaw has studied the Az game and will try and do the same. Oregon's biggest problem so far this season is that the defense has trouble getting stops and getting off the field. That same defense has been living off of turnovers getting 3 a game. But Stanford has only committed 2 turnovers in 4 games and that was 2 interceptions thrown by the QB that has been benched. The players Oregon will face today have no turnovers. Something has to give

do I think the Ducks will win? yeah, probably. But I'm not confident at all. Partly because I don't believe the Ducks are the third best team in the country. And partly because I remember that twice, it's been Stanford that has derailed a national championship opportunity for Oregon. Once in 2001; and once in 2012

Stanford gives up 200 plus yards per game. They have a really good d back field.
Having Thibs back in grass will help.
    Oregon 38
    Stanford 28

I responded to your claims about Stanford not Oregon. Faced with facts running directly counter to your claims about this Stanford team, you're trying to switch the subject instead of owning up to being wrong.

But since you went there, facts about Oregon's team are that while they've had injuries depleting their front 7, Funa and KT are said to be 100% go and that makes their starting Defensive front 7 much closer to whole then vs Arizona when they were really stretched thin. Of course Stanford is going to try to do their best, but down 2 of their top RBs and a starting OG and having had little success thus far this season running the ball against anyone, they're much more likely to primarily try to win it through the air then ground and pound. That Arizona featured a running QB while Stanford's is pure pocket makes this even more likely.
