Guess it will be streamed on the team's facebook page....god they're terrible at announcing stuff lol
Unfortunately, it happened. First, my wife brought her smallest purse, but it was too big still. They change the rule this season...you can now only have an 8 by 12 purse or bag. So we had to check it in. So, my son and I waited for her to check the bag in. We showed our vax cards and got in. We found seats in a corner. 106, seats 1-3. I went to get food and drink. They changed how you get food. You have to order it on a computer, get a receipt, and wait for your number to be called like your at the dmv. You could barely hear the people calling numbers because its loud in there, plus they have masks on. I waited a half hour I shit you not. I got back for the end of the practice just before the scrimmage. I had some popcorn and soda, the most expensive popcorn and Soda I have ever bought. After the first half, my wife and son went to the Blazers store to get some gear. I took out my phone and wrote the preceding post that I was at fanfest. I set the phone in my lap. I watched and enjoyed the scrimmage. My son and wife came back. I got up to help him with the bag he had. My chair folded up and my phone slipped backwards down it. Well, if you are in the lower bowl there are holes in the floor behind the seats as it's bleachers. My phone fell through one of the holes down into the arena behind the stands. I went and asked if someone could get it for me and they were very nice about it. So, they retrieve my phone. It's smashed. The screen is destroyed despite it being in a heavy case. I had to go straight to TMobile afterwards to get a new one. If you are in the lower bowl be careful with your phone. Don't ever dit in the seat and be careful with loose pockets. The lady said it happens every game/event. Phone after phone after phone. So, yeah I went. I thought Chriss was the best out of the four vying for the last spot. Cody Zeller was very active. The slam dunk contest was fun As was the rook dance and sing off.
I tend to just get a drink at games, and i arrive early because i enjoy watching players practice. I also have a man purse(fanny pack) so i never worry about my phone or wallet. People may laugh, but i'm never worried about losing my wallet, keys, medicine, phone, or tickets wearing it. I'm there to watch a game, not pick up chicks. Practicality has a price. And it's worth it.
