maybe But Patterson has had 7 seasons shooting above 36%; Nance has had none. He hit 36% last season on a relatively small sample. Nance is at 33% for his career, Patterson is at 37%. Nance does other things well though
True but when it comes to bigs shooting 3s I am more of a what have you done lately guy. Some bigs come into the league not ever needing to shoot from the outside. So they suck at it. They tend to get better as they get older and practice it more. Sure Nance is 33% for his career but he was horrible his first 4 years. I care about how he shoots it now. And the last 3 years he has improved as he has shot it more.
I really think they need to keep a PG and a Big. But if I had to pick one from just the only game we have seen so far I would agree with you. Chriss looks athletic, but I was not impressed. (Again it was just one game) But I don't want to sign him just because he is the biggest guy out of the 4 fighting for the spot. But if they think they can develop him then sure.
No one is wasting a roster spot as far as I know because we're not planning on using our 15th and final roster spot. We could easily keep both Dennis Smith Jr. and Marquese Chriss.
what's funny about it? Its only been around three years but has already produced bunch of quality rotational players Duncan Robinson Chris Boucher Lu Dort Monta Morris Torrey Craig Alex Caruso PJ Dozier Garrison Matthews Frank Jackson Jordan McLaughlin Moses Brown Markus Howard Shake Milton The only funny thing is Olshey thinking he's in a position to ignore it, which he did for years and is essentially what he's doing by signing Blevins.
He's done the same with the GLeague. We are only one of two teams (PHX being the other) who don't have an affiliate.
