He's very lucky he got a chance to prove he can be a productive member of society.

Article says the Blazers “made respectable runs at the NBA Finals during his tenure.” Say what? We didn’t even win a series.

I know Larry well. A great guy, and absolute gentleman…..this is blowing my mind right now! I thought there was no statute of limitations.

The article says he was arrested and served time for the murder. As a juvenile offender, he probably got a much lighter sentence than he would have if he’d been an adult.

"So why tell this story now? Miller told Beck that revealing his past will free him to discuss his own experience with at-risk youth and people in prison with the hopes of steering them away from violence to have a productive life. Miller said he wanted to release the information to the public through his forthcoming book, “Jump: My Secret Journey From the Streets to the Boardroom,” on his terms and timeline. The book is scheduled for release in early 2022."

Ha! He shared the story now because it'll help build interest in his book. I doubt he can honestly say he would have broken it if not for the upcoming book.

Ahhhhhh. Didn't see the part about him serving time. He introduced me to Muhammad Ali and I will never forget that experience.

At least he didn’t say something racist or sexist years ago. That would have been unforgivable.

He’s a multi millionaire he could care less about the book. It’s probably because he’s old and said why not I don’t have much time on this earth

I feel bad for the mother and family of the boy that wasn’t allowed to become a productive member of society.

At our hotel in Phoenix. B-Roy/LA days. It was amazing. I did get tickets to the Shake It event for my dad and his best friend who has Parkinsons. They were able to go to the meet and greet. Memories man.

People write personal books for their ego (i.e., book sales and reviews), not to just get something off their chest. He would have offered up the story on the news if that's all he was after.

Did you miss the part about him being in a rival gang? Larry Miller definitely bucked the odds of escaping that life to become a productive member of society.

Me too. The only positive in the story is a third life wasn't ruin as well; which is how some people want these situations to turn out.
