Haha they got Thibs playing linebacker essentially by dropping back. I’m losing a lot of faith in this Oregon coaching staff
Is it going to take a loss to realize that Brown isn’t the answer? At home? To the hapless Golden Bears?
Yeah there’s about 5 guys on Oregon’s defense who will be contributors on Sundays. The past couple years their defense has been scrubby. I’d rather take Aliotti’s bend but don’t break
Even if the Ducks win there won't be enough lipstick for this pig. They are not playing like a top 20 team.
I feel kinda bad for Brown. It's not like the kid is half-assing it. He seems to give it his all - it's just that his "all" is less than the team needs right now.
In the third the ducks went away from the run and struggled in the fourth back to a running team. Brown can’t be the man, if they have become one dimensional with the passing game they are in trouble
every game is going to be a struggle for the Ducks with their QB situation and missing Verdell, although I think visiting UCLA, Utah, & Washington are going to leave the Ducks at least once on the wrong side of a blowout I'm unimpressed with Deruyter's defense as well. There are simply too many open areas in his zone defense, and they struggle with power RB's as well I'm a Duck fan, but they have not looked like a top-20 team since they left Ohio. Injuries are part of it, but not al of it
Good post. I think Moorhead is a good coordinator. I think Deruter is shit. I think part of the defensive problems are offensive ineptitude. You can’t 3 and out, time after time and expect your defense to bail you out
