They city subcontracted tow companies to move homeless trailers from being to close to a construction site, some blocks over, into a neighborhood in front of peoples’ homes, without warning.

Lanny? With all due respect, we have been down this road. Click on the link, don't click on the link, but lets leave opinions of credibility out of the equation.
What you deem credible or not, is not the line drawn for all others.
Ive been posting things from various sources.
Click on something else if Oregon live is not your thing.

No. 1 = I don't waste my time reviewing stuff that is not credible. While some is good an awful lot is bad and wastes my time. I and my partner took first place iu our debate contest. Okay, it was about the Vietnam war but we had to know the rules pretty good in order to win. One of the rules and the one I believed to be the most important, other than don't get in a fist fight over an issue, was that a person making an assertion was charged with backing up that assertion with a credible source especially when challenged else it is just gossip. Now, I say this in order to facilitate a reasoned debate rather than a chaotic one. You are free to ignore me and Debate 101 rules but don't expect me to quit my attempt to improve things.

Lanny, what im saying is i think everyone here has heard enough debate about credibility, verifiability, etc.
If you don't think the link is credible just move on then.
Lets not go round aNd round about whats credible and what isn't, ad nauseam.

im sure everyone here is tired of it. :)

No. 1, I don't have to go on. Using the same logic you can ignore any of my posts that you don't like and just move on.
You may find my posts ad nauseam but I don't.

okay but im not addressing you in my post. You are quoting and addressing me and asking me a question in your post. I can not reply, but then you may think im being rude and ignoring you?

but as you wish. I will ignore your post specifically asking me a question, since you are unwilling to ignore my post that did not specifically address you.

Why would you think you're being rude
Any hints on what your phantom links actually refer to?

Not at all. I appreciate sources being called out as uncredible whenever uncredible sources are referenced.

It's actually a community service (and helps the debate) to do so as long as you're being truthful and can back it up.

Portland police say car thieves are using ‘deception’ to steal from unsuspecting drivers
Portland police are alerting the public to a type of “deception” that thieves are using to lure drivers out of their cars so the thieves can steal them.

Police on Saturday described four separate instances this past week when two to four teenage boys or young men reportedly ran up to victims’ cars “frantically” yelling that something was wrong with the car or something was hanging out of the back of it. In some of the cases, the suspects banged on the cars. When the drivers got out to check, the suspects got in the car and drove off, police said.

The suspects didn’t threaten or injure the drivers, who are all women. All of the thefts happened in Southeast Portland:

    • Tuesday at about 3 p.m., a Ford Fusion was stolen from a 29-year-old woman near Southeast 28th and Woodward Street, a residential neighborhood. The car was recovered unoccupied the next day more than three miles away, near Mt. Scott Park in the 5700 block of Southeast 72nd Avenue.
    • Tuesday at about 5:45 p.m., a Subaru Outback was taken from a 47-year-old woman near Southeast Tibbetts Street and Cesar E. Chavez Boulevard. Three days later it was discovered parked near Northeast 119th Avenue and Sandy Boulevard, near Parkrose High School.
    • Thursday at about 4:30 p.m. a Subaru Outback was stolen from a 75-year-old woman at Southeast 28th Avenue and Franklin Street, which is next to Cleveland High School and just four blocks south of the first theft on Tuesday.
    • Twenty minutes later, a Kia Sorento was taken from a 36-year-old woman at Southeast Cesar E. Chavez Boulevard and Lambert Street, a residential neighborhood.

Police advise that drivers don’t open their doors and instead drive away if they’re approached in a similar fashion. Anyone with information about these thefts is asked to email crimetips@portlandoregon.gov.

My employee stayed one night at a PDX airport hotel, flew out of town for a week and left his car there (paid for the parking), came back, and his catalytic converter had been removed. Took 7-8 weeks to get it because there's such a shortage at the moment (due to the number of thefts country-wide, as well as slow logistics).
